Okay, I just googled my guess to see if I was close...

Larry McMurtry won a Pulitzer Prize for his novel "Lonesome Dove", the mini-series created from that book won seven Emmy Awards and he won both a Golden Globe and Academy Award for co-writing the screenplay for "Brokeback Mountain."
