I raise all this hell about Obama being a crook (he is hinky, for sure, and his wife is a moose) but I'm not sure who will get my vote. Maybe I'm as bad as user because I sure as hell know who is NOT getting my vote.

Not that it matters.

I think we are all powerless unless the normal people get pissed. Get pissed, people. Let the scammers and blood-suckers organize all they want, we have to change this while we are still a majority (working folks).

OK, sick of politics. It's all a dirty business.

I hate the fact that I feel like my vote doesn't count. I hate that I'm forced to choose between the hard left or hard right when I don't agree with either side and I think the real answer lies somewhere in the middle. Russian

I've always felt that way. I'm certain my vote doesn't make one bit of difference, however, voting does buy me the right to slam every one of those worthless motherfuckers.

I am going to check the straight Libertarian ticket at the next election. I'm not wasting another vote on a Democrat or a Republican.

I really think this is the answer.

Why can't some welfare mom come clean my house? Then I wouldn't bitch about paying taxes and she could bring her kids (if they don't touch my stuff). Problem solved. Some illegal can come cut my grass, too, and I'll claim some of his unclaimed income.

Only do this in national elections. In local/regional elections, it is throwing your vote away.

I have been a registered Libertarian since 1996. I used to be very disappointed when a Libertarian candidate lost. Now I'm used to it. haha
I registered as an Independent back in the late 70s. Hell, registering for one party gives the Sorry Bastards the Idea that they Own You!

If you are registered with one party during the primary's you have to vote for members of that party. As a Independent I get to choose. At least that is how it works in NC.

In the primary's I have voted for the other party's fellow running against the one I don't like. If he wins I then get to vote against him again in the national election. Being Independent has its perks.
"It is unlikely that raising taxes alone will solve the massive debt and budget shortfalls. A study conducted at the Tax Policy Center found that Washington would have to raise taxes by almost 40 percent to reduce – not eliminate, just reduce – the deficit to 3 percent of our GDP, the 2015 goal the Obama administration set in its 2011 budget. That tax boost would mean the lowest income tax rate would jump from 10 to nearly 14 percent, and the top rate from 35 to 48 percent. What if we raised taxes only on families with couples making more than $250,000 a year and on individuals making more than $200,000? The top two income tax rates would have to more than double, with the top rate hitting almost 77 percent, to get the deficit down to 3 percent of GDP. Such dramatic tax increases are politically untenable and still wouldn’t come close to eliminating the deficit. "

We have to cut spending.

I would not advocate for raising taxes alone to reduce the debt/deficit. I think it should only be considered in conjunction with massive spending cuts.

The numbers seemingly are getting smaller and smaller. At one point, there was discussion about $9 trillion (I think), then $6 trillion and I think I heard this morning they're considering a $2 trillion dollar package.

Pelosi wants to skin Obama for even considering cuts to medi-care and s.s. and the Tea Party is just as pissed at Boner for any potential tax changes.

Fucking partisan crap. This is exactly why the country can't get anything meaningful done.
There should be no tax increases they aren't needed the government brings in enough money to fuction without all of the over reaching and expansion that has been going on.

take the health care shit off the table, allow for the residual bailout money to be applied to the debt "Bailout the country" instead of the supporters of obama and his bullshit agenda, it boils down to reducing the federal government to what it is supposed to be and placing the power back in the states like it is supposed to be and there is plenty of money for washington.

The simple answer get government back in washington and follow the constitutional guidelines like they are supposed to be doing, reduce themselves back into their original roles and shut the fuck up, pay our bills, let people work and spend their money into the economy like they are supposed to and stop letting government decide what your income should be and how much they WANT of it instead of how much they need of it.
The talks have ended. Boner is tired of dealing with the White House.

Obama pushes his agenda too much. He has forgotten the rest of us are stuck with his ass, too, and that he needs to represent EVERYONE.

Our president never learned how to deal with the two party system. He thought president meant king. He caused a great divide in this country. Not because of race, and he doesn't seem to be very religious, but because he never let the 'us vs. them' thing drop. His default fallback position is blaming someone else. He never manned up.
I have watched some of this (reluctantly admitting) on Fox. I didn't realise you guys had soooo much debt, per day even! wow, yeh you guys need to cut back spending, it's not rocket science is it?

You wouldn't think so.

Raising taxes also raises the taxes on Social Security benefits (most people make over the poverty rate on SS). To me, it's stupid to raise Social Security benefits then take it all back as a tax.

It's all politics. Most people in this country are undereducated and really don't understand what is going on in DC. They just believe whatever the media tells them they should believe. They don't realize it is a bullshit position to tax all the money you are "giving" back to the people.

Obama needs to cut the fucking budget already.

"The President Stands By His Overspending: Barack Obama is Jimmy Carter on a normal (bad) day, not Bill Clinton on a good day. " hahahaha

Cut, Cap, and Balance is now officially dead. Too bad for that:

As Leader McConnell said, “Cut, Cap, and Balance cuts spending now, caps it in the future, and only raises the debt limit if it’s accompanied by a constitutional amendment to balance the federal budget. This is what America wants. It’s what Washington needs. All we need is 20 Democrats to join us. At least 23 of them have led their constituents to believe they’d fight for a balanced budget amendment. The White House has called for a balanced approach in this debate. This bill doesn’t just suggest balance. It mandates it. So I strongly urge my Democratic friends to join us in supporting this legislation.”

He continued, “Let me note another virtue of the Cut, Cap, and Balance Plan: it doesn’t raise taxes. . . . The reason we’ve got a debt crisis is that government spends every cent it gets — and then some. Sending Washington more money will not solve that problem, it will enable it. Our tax system isn’t perfect. But until Washington can prove that it’s responsible with our tax dollars, we shouldn’t be sending it more of them. This is why Republicans have focused on cuts in this debate, and that’s why every one of us — Democrat and Republican — should support Cut, Cap, and Balance.”

Oh Lord, let us pray that another smiley face does not get elected.
That the American public is never swayed by another pretty face
That another Abe Lincoln becomes the king, wart and all.
And please, please give us someone better than Mitt Romney.
Thank You
Ron Paul

I love Bill. Back off! 16

hah

It's dangerous to compare Bill to Barack. There is no comparison.

What Bill really thinks about Barack:

2008: Bill Clinton says Barack Obama must 'kiss my ass' for his support

Bill Clinton does not like Barack Obama. For starters, Clinton thinks that Obama “played the race card” on him (and let’s face facts–he did–and he played it on John McCain as well).

Bill Clinton even went so far as to tell Ted Kennedy, with regard to Obama, that, “A few years ago, this guy would have been getting us coffee”–which I think means that Clinton sees Obama as a “Junior” (who should be an intern) or as “The Boy President” (to quote our own MBecker), and therefore, doesn’t have a whole lot of respect for him.

(This is because Obama screwed over one of Clinton's buddies.) Every biography news specials about Bill Clinton all say one thing in common–that he is extremely loyal to his friends, but that he hold grudges forever. For instance, when he and George H. W. Bush flew overseas to help promote relief for the tsunami victims, Bill Clinton gave George H. W. Bush the one bed on the plane and slept on an air mattress–yet to this day, he still hates Jimmy Carter’s guts (probably because of all of Carter’s “freelance diplomacy” during the Clinton years). A 60 Minutes expose on Bill Clinton a few years ago reported that he still keeps in touch with his high school friends from AR.

This is how rude Obama is to Bill. I'm surprised we couldn't hear Magilla Michelle in the back on her cell phone:
