A Colorado sheriff has a bone to pick with Duane 'Dog' Chapman, star of television show Dog the Bounty Hunter.

Mesa County Sheriff Stan Hilkey said Chapman excessively pepper sprayed 29-year-old fugitive Andrew Distel during a scuffle and then took him into the sheriff's office on Wednesday without decontaminating the man first.

Hilkey says that put his staffers and the public in danger, while Chapman stayed outside 'prancing back and forth waving his golden locks for the camera' in what he called 'profit-driven peacockery. 28

Hilkey wrote in a blog posting: 'While Dog stayed outside, shirtless and sweaty, prancing back and forth waving his golden locks for the camera, his team brought this freshly pepper-sprayed fellow into the enclosed space of the Sheriff's Office lobby with other citizens present.

'They also brought him in injured.'

Hilkey said arrestees who have been chemically sprayed must be de-contaminated and medically cleared before they are booked into the jail, 'especially (for) injuries that are inflicted by a non-governmental employee subject to no policy or use of policy restrictions.'

Distel was wanted on failure-to-appear warrants on drug possession charges, sheriff's spokeswoman Heather Benjamin said.

He is the nastiest looking man eva!! I mean come on! You could plant crops in the rows on his forehead. And Dog, button your damn shirt. You are not a 21 year old hottie. Get a haircut and start acting like the middle aged man you are for Pete's sake.
I LOVE BETH! I think she's awesomeness. Love me a big woman who is good with being a big woman. She's lovely.

Say what you want about them, they are rich. Smiley_emoticons_smile

I'm OK with ex-cons IF they changed. Everybody makes mistakes. Not everybody loves their kids. Those people love their kids, and take care of them, so they get a pass with me.

Boo hoo some criminal got pepper sprayed. The criminal received bond and then didn't want to bother with the rules of his release. No sympathy from me. Get the hose and spray him down. If he doesn't like the treatment he gets being involved with the criminal justice system, mind the laws like the rest of us do.

Botox! Get thee to the needle.

He has wrinkles under his man boobs. That is yucky. Can Botox help that?

I don't care about the dude one way or the other, I just like Beth.

I don't know. Hahaha! I was just thinking his forehead needs to be smoothed out, he can afford it.

I find strong women very appealing & no doubt about it, Beth is strong.

She used to be a heroin addict. She lost her first-born son because of it. Instead of using that excuse to be a huge POS her entire life, she stopped using and turned her life around.

I just think that's awesome. I like redemption stories.

We have all done fucked up things. Some of us pretend we haven't. Some of us let it wreck us. Some of us forget the bad we have done and only find it in others. Some of us remember and use it as a lesson. Nobody gets out alive (sorry, Muslims, they are out of virgins ~ so fucked up anyway having a religion based on what you are going to get instead of what you are). If you can get out wiser and kinder, that's good enough.

I've tried to learn from every fucked up experience I've had, whether it be by my own hand or the hand of others. I'm not always successful but I do try nonetheless. I am flawed & I recognize that I am.

Even the perfect people are flawed. It must be so tiring having to be perfect all the time.

I don't know how these Baptists do it.
those two in their black vinyl outfits, handcuffs hanging from their belts, and online-purchased badges are still dirtbags.
unfit to be real cops, they have to play at it for the viewing beer-guzzlers who are likely to be their next targets for some chump-change bond money.

aside from his 'big bust' that landed him in a mexican jail. hah

he doesn't know the law, he has lost his license in most places, and they are a big honking joke among real LEOs.

i don't know or care about her history, so she's an ex-junkie saint. good for her.

he was in prison for murder, and only got out by being a chickenshit snitch. hahahahaha

Stiches for snitches. You are a thug today, LC. haha

Cops don't like bounty hunters? Doesn't it save them some time? I would think LEO would like someone else chasing down the bail jumpers so they can handle their calls. Once someone has been arrested, they still shouldn't be LEO's problem. They did their job, they arrested them. I see Dog as more of a court system problem.
he's a problem because of situations like the one in the original post. he does not abide by the local laws, and cops have to waste their time watching his ass while he makes his citizen's arrest. and that's all he does. citizen's arrests. he has no authority and no right to use force or pepper spray or tasers or any other weapon. he is more trouble than it's worth to the locals.

someday someone is going to shoot him.

He reminds me of Sonic the hedgehog.

He might be an ass, I don't know, I don't watch him but, again..he's another one laughing all the way to the bank.
I am surprised he has not gotten a serious ass kicking yet doing the stuff he does.
He and Beth need breast reduction surgery

They don't dance.

Eliminates distraction while on the path.

And robs the world of potentially hilarious videos.

Try changing your underwear on a daily basis instead of once a month, you too could be a baptist with an outwardly perfect appearance.

of course you might have problems if you have to piss in church, my suggestion is dress gender appropriate when you attend.

Dog and Beth are both idiots who have a hook.

i only found 2 travis mimms online images. one was an old guy, one was black. huh?

Duane “The Dog” Chapman has been awarded temporary custody of his 9-year-old grandson, Travis Mimms, Jr., after a chilling audio tape surfaced of what is alleged to be the child being viciously beaten by his father, Travis Mimms, Sr.

RadarOnline.com reports that on October 21, approximately seven police cars descended on the Mimms residence, wherein the authorities removed Mimms, Jr. from his father’s custody and handed him over to Chapman.

Mimms, Jr. is the son of Chapman’s late daughter, Barbara-Kate Chapman.

“I don’t want to take my grandson’s dad away from him,” Chapman told Star magazine. “I want (Travis, Sr.) to take parenting classes. We had to get (Travis, Jr.) out of that situation. I was beaten by my father, too. But we have to break that cycle.”

Chapman’s wife, Beth, agreed. “This is all about protecting a little boy, not about hurting his dad. We’re doing what we have to do. We want Travis, Sr. to get help.”

Previously, Mimms, Sr. worked for Chapman and also received financial assistance from him. Following the death of their daughter, the Chapmans raised Mimms, Jr., eventually returning him to Mimms, Sr.

Chapman and Mimms, Sr. had a falling out approximately one year ago and have not spoken since.

Last week, Star magazine reported that Mimms, Sr. obtained a restraining order against the Chapmans, claiming that the family had been harassing him, accusing him of beating his son and slandering him.

In the papers filed, Mimms, Sr. claims that Chapman threatened him numerous times, that his son is “scared” of Duane Chapman and his wife, and that Chapman threatened to kill him.

Chapman also took out a restraining order against Mimms, Sr.

A hearing is set for that order on November 4.
