Renee Ramsey Charged With Child Endangerment

PORTSMOUTH, N.H. -- A mother has been charged with child endangerment after leaving her 6-month-old baby in a 117-degree car Saturday morning while she went shopping, police said.
Renee Ramsey, 32, of Wells, Maine, left the baby in a locked car at Lafayette Plaza, police said.
It was 81 degrees outside, but the inside of the car was 117 degrees, according to police.
Police broke one of the car windows with a baton to get to the baby.
The baby was taken to Portsmouth Regional Hospital and then released to the father, police said.
Police said they're not sure how long the baby was left in the car, but Ramsey didn't return until 13 minutes after they removed the child.
Ramsey was released on $150 cash and $10,000 personal recognizance bail.
