They all live on the same Godforsaken island (The Scotts don't but are close enough) but are they like the American North & South? I have always thought so.....
The reason I ask is that I work with a Scottish guy (old country) who hates the Irish guys (I deal with them daily also as customers though) that hate the English people (We have a salesman from England, and he seems to try to rise above all that but fails because he looks down on both) Anyways I have kind of seen the same in America. Does Cuba have divides like that?
You forgot Wales.

More than on island (or actually, more than one tip of land that sticks up above the water, all joined down below. like ESAD and OP, joined down below...)
I also got Scotland and Ireland mixed up. Is Wales a hotty-totty place? I never hear about Wales.
I'm now interested in this Wales thing. Smiley_emoticons_hurra3 Go Wales!!!!

That's because Prince Charles is homely. When he kicks it and one of the two cuties take over, Wales will be hot again.

Ah!.........Global warming is real then? This year?
The "English" are snooty, and people from Wales generally call themselves "British". They think they are better than the people from Scotland and Ireland. The Irish do retain their own traditions, while the Scots are less distinctive.
The Irish are the blacks of Europe. I'm black and I'm proud.
My mother was Welsh. She talked funny.
The two islands comprise two independent countries;

•United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland ("UK")
•Republic of Ireland ("Eire")

The UK consists of three nations: England, Wales and Scotland. Northern Ireland consists of six counties in Ireland, namely , Antrim, Armagh, Down, Fermanagh, Derry (or sometimes Londonderry) and Tyrone and is governed jointly from London and its own parliament at Stormont, Co. Down.

"British" people come from England, Scotland or Wales. Britain is governed from parliament in Westminster, London; Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland have their own assemblies or parliaments for local government.

"Irish" people originate from the Island of Ireland, the most westerly landmass in Europe. Irish people live in the Republic of Ireland or the North of Ireland. If the latter, and depending upon religious and cultural persuasion, some in Northern Ireland consider themselves closer to Britain since their ancestors were imported ("planted") into Ireland in the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries from Britain, frequently at the expense of Irish native landowners who were evicted or expelled.
Yeah, its Scots, not Scotts Maggot you mong.

There are lots of differences in the UK from one town to another never mind different nations.

More dialects per square mile than any other country.
They all talk like they have a mouthful of marbles, no wonder the right hand does not know what the left hand is doing there. Although I do sometimes have a hard time with the way rebels talk.
That would be Scots and no were nothing like the english, we are a wee bit like the Irish.
The Scots and Irish have a similar attitude towards alcohol and domestic violence.

We also eat anything thats been fried in batter.

We went to an organised fireworks display last night.

My daughter isn't that keen on fireworks anymore as it turns out, she spent most of the time covering her ears.

My cats aren't very fond of them either.
