Does government have the right to tell you what to do in regards to healthcare/medical issues ?...Do they have the right to INSIST you seek treatment that goes against your religious beliefs ?...Do they have the right to override decisions you make on your childrens behalf ?
i would have to say yes. to save a child's life. the child does not necessarily have the education to know what he/she faces. and what mortality means. i think if a child has the choice, he/she would choose life. and a future. just my opinion!
if the parents are batshit crazy and brainwashed yes lol
Depends on what country you live in.
If it was just me, I would agree that they have no business in my business. But I think children do not have the ability to make informed decisions on health care, or the discontinuance of such health care. I am not saying that a child over age, 10 or so, should not be involved in his treatment decisions...but they need to learn the consequences of accepting or refusing treatment.
Unless the parents' decision is clearly life threatening, the govt. should just fuck off.
The goverment should stay out of any health decisions an adult makes, they should be able to hire Jack Kevorkian if they wish to. A child is a different story, the goverment should intervene when the parents decision is causing the child to suffer or die unnecessarily.
I agree about the child having a say after a certain age, recently my daughtr was ill, she insisted she be told what is going on and further more in her words.. "not be turned into a science experiment".

As far as adults go.. Fuck you goverment I will die when I want to you fucking assholes know jack shit about how sick or healthy I am or feel.
