You have a choice.
You may either be gifted communicating with animals or you are gifted with understanding and fluently speaking all the languages known to man.
So, do you speak with your pet or do you communicate in any (and all) languages of your choosing?
i'm pretty sure i understand animals on a basic level...they want food and love and to be treated with kindness and respect. we have all communicated with animals.
except for spiders and scorpions and poisonous snakes who can 
where i like the idea of understanding all peoples' languages. cultures interest me.
i never did grasp eubonics for example, which made it difficult to deal with some demographics.
I would chose people, animals are about as smart as a 2 year old at best.

I'll come across more animals in my lifetime than I will people who don't speak English.

I already have some universal sign language with which to communicate with any person.
and I have a gift with animals already.
