I know some in here are retired but this applies to you as well, just refer to what your former employment was & the SAHM's have a voice because they have one of the biggest jobs of all.

For the most part I like my job. I am moving up and getting a lot more responsibility which will mean more $ which is cool. The down side is managing people again after several years of only managing projects. Dealing with tards is a pita, you would not believe the fucked up shit full growm adult men get into. I like the business, the work is cool and I am good at it, I inspire a lot of confidence in my clients and will be taking work away from my competition again, all good.
97% boredom followed by 2% panic followed by 1% terror.

I like it mostly though. My job suites me.

*nods* Oh yes I would!
I don't mind my job, I'm not tied to a phone and I'm not anybody's bitch no fetching coffee or cleaning people's dishes, but I don't really care for my newly appointed boss, it was bearable to deal with him before as we didn't report to him, but he has no management skills what so ever. He has always been hard to work with. It's a large company but our individual offices are small, so there is just him, another guy and myself, you can cut the air with a knife most days. Me and the other guy get along great and have our bitching sessions about him. Good thing is only a few months and I will be off for a whole year so won't have to deal with him.
retired but loved my work. usually. some of the people you have to deal with are annoying. hah
I was a stay at home Mom for 16 years, then substituted High School for 6 years, and now am a
stay at home Nana to my 2 grandsons, 8 weeks and nearly 2 years old. I have loved my jobs...
so fulfilling in all the ways someone that was meant to be a Mommie can be fulfilled. I wouldnt
have traded any part of it for all the money in the world. My children and grandchildren have never
had to go to a daycare and for that I am proud.
Fuck no, it's annoying as shit.

I have to set up the free estimates and all I ask is that people tell me how they heard about us so I can track my advertising, that shit isn't for free. You would think that would be an easy question, but oh fuck no. When I ask which phone book they are looking at they say "oh hell if I know" or they start going into a long story that I could give a fuck about. Would it really be that hard to just look at the front page and tell me which motherfucking phone book, motherfucker!
I don't like my job. I'd rather be a gunsmith or a luthier.

That's a lie we SAHM's like to perpetuate. From your lips to my husband's ear...

MUWAHAHA!

j/k (sorta). It was tough when they were little but I have it pretty damn easy now. Glad I'm able to monitor them closely as they head into adolescence though.

I don't think I'll ever go back to a 8-5 job. BTDT.
I own the place. What's not to like?
I took my current job not knowing a damn thing about the population, mainly because I had accidentally gotten my truck towed with all my shit in the back of it and needed money fast. Twenty years later after earning a college degree I'm still doing that same direct care job and aside from the occasional shitty coworker (they don't usually last long) I rarely have a problem motivating myself to get outta bed for work. I frequently have to smile and take shit from my family and childhood friends who know my history and demeanor: of all the possible career paths and jobs and ultimate fates, who'd have thought THAT was what I'd turn out to be pretty damn good at...
I would say that 9 out of 10 days I enjoy my job. Been at it for about 20 years now and I'm pretty good at what I do.

Stupid kumquats. Can you (and some of the other paranoid freaks) deign to give us some small ideal of what you do? You don't need to name specifics but some rough mention of corporate, industry or specialty shouldn't fucking kill you.

I used to be in charge of HR. See? That's not so hard.

You're a nurse? I don't think I could do that job, I'd be too tempted to stick myself with a shot of demoral and hide in the mop closet.

Male nurse.

Traditionally not many men in that profession.

I puke 3 or 4 times per day.
