To me, CNN is probably the most credible of the network news agencies.

I like NPR for in-depth stories and PBS generally plays a good mix of world news shows like BBC and the Japanese one. A lot of my news is found on the net, but I tend to read multiple sources in order to get a better picture. I like to hear what other countries are saying about us so I'll check out some of those news sources also.

I find CNN to be more middle of the road than MSNBC or Fox but I think they lean left.

Al Jazeera is probably the most accurate in the world now on most subjects. Tass isn't too bad (last I looked) and IRT is pretty good but grinds some axes.

Forget all American news. It is grossly slanted. When I want to be lied to I'll use the British or Australian news aperati since at least they use proper grammar and avoid obvious lies.

All news outfits are not to be trusted on some subjects but ALL the US media only lie. If their lips are moving then they are lying and usually they are lying on several levels at once. Fox is as bad or worse than the rest but they have fewer axes to grind.

I get most of my news on the net and never clickon the main networks. If you do it just downloads cookies and ads for a minute or two before the lies start.

Local papers used to be the worst but they seem to have actually improved slightly. They still support the gangs in the cities openly so buying the rags derectly results in more shootings.

A friend in Pakistan turned me on to these after I told him I watch Al Jazeera.

I, like you cladking, dont believe a word that a US media says.

I can watched any of them and get informed. It's all about looking at whatever you hear, see, or read with criticality.

Do that and it's easy to find the agenda, slant, or bias - then see through it to get the real info. There are so many places to get information these days, getting it all from one place seems so strange to me.

I take all news with a big fat grain of salt. Fortunately, being that there's rarely any news of substance anymore my salt intake has decreased drastically and my doctor tells me my blood pressure normal.
I will read CNN, although the earlier comment about them leaning a bit left isn't entirely true. They're WAY left, but they make an effort to disguise that from time to time.
Other than that I'll stick to alternatives like Drudge. One of the last places to find real news, but his site looks like some it was handwritten in Geocities in 1997.
