The usual rhetoric - "God was testing me", "marriage should between a man and woman" etc etc.

What say you?
I say Miss Fake & Confused apparently thinks separate is equal, doesn't care about equality under law, doesn't care about the principles that form the basis of the anti-discrimination laws, but can wear a bikini anytime.

Since my best friend is a lesbian in an unofficial homosexual marriage... What do YOU think my opinions are? I have no problems with gays, so long as they don't come on to me. If they want to marry, who am I to deny them? Men need to stop playing God, whether they believe in Him or not. Hell, even then ancient Romans openly embraced homosexuality.

The Antagonist

He asked for her opinion. She gave it. He did not ask if she had ideas on enacting any kind of legislation.

Now before any of you get on me for siding with her, you ALL know my stance on this issue. ANYONE should have the right to marry whomever they choose.

But, WHO THE FUCK CARES if she believes in God? What bearing on YOUR life does it have? And why is she not allowed to believe in something that YOU do not?

These pageants insist contestants answer in a manner true to themselves, not what they think the judges want to hear.

Now do you think the judge who asked the question is behaving like a rational human being after the fact? Listen to his comments. He should be ashamed of himself and more-so for EXPECTING a specific answer out of her.

As you can see he is obviously a fucking liar. And top it off he says she got booed. Top it off his behavior is reprehensible. But I guess that's OK because his political views are not hers?

Do you hear boos in this clip? * Ignore the fact the moron taping this for youtube had his picture in picture on. Ass-wipe.*

Now, again to repeat myself, I do not agree with her but the bullshit she's getting from an honest response is just that, BULLSHIT. She's got every right to believe what she wants to believe and feel how she wants in this country. Not everyone has to agree with it.
I voted favorably for same sex marriage as honestly recently her in the California election. What business is it of mine what the 'couple' two doors down from me are doing? None. It's a strong cliche, but 'live and let live'.

With that said, I do believe this contestant had the right to answer as she sees fit instead of being dishonest with her own opinion and views and attempting to win a contest with an answer the submitter of the question is wanting to hear.

Her thoughts on gay marriage is her personal meme though (as she pretty much admits with her answer), so right or wrong, based on your own personal life experiences and opinions/views, she had the right to express it as she was asked to do.

P. Hilton on the other hand is a bit of a douche to commenting the way he did as to her lack of character.
I am on the fence with this queer thing as a few idiot lawmakers were trying to make it OK for a trans-gender person to use any bathroom they wanted to use. I was wondering how I would explain this to my Grandkids when 20 years from now this gay power crap is truly out of hand. These things have a way of morphing into all hell breaking loose.

I have to say that she had big nuts to say that knowing that it would cost her the pagent. I hate them damn preening sessions that are plastered on the tv nowadays anyways. Beauty pagents are just a mirror of social vanity anyhow.

I don't mind fags and queers as long as they don't try tomake me sayit's normal. I prefer to call them strange at any rate. But thats me and I would still hold the door open for a fag just like I would anyone else.
I'm all for gay marriage, I have no issues against it whatsoever...I too have gay friends that were married, a trainer & a vet..when the vet was hospitalized and dying her family refused to let her wife/partner anywhere near her and when she later died they hired security to keep her from the funeral and had every intention of taking the home they shared away from her, a good lawyer prevented that but, I've seen first hand the misery that is caused when these loved ones have no legal rights or recourse...It truly sucks.

I would never go as far as that, live and let live I say. Some are waaaay out there though you gotta admit....

The Antagonist

Maggot there are extremes on all facets of life.

What that imbecile of a judge failed to realize is that he had no right to expect from her what he wanted to hear.

I think more than anything that the gay marriage issue comes down to insurance company bullshit and other nonsense that has little to do with the real issue.

Duchess, your friend went through some very unnecessary bullshit if they only cemented the legalities of their living arrangements and wills, property dispersion etc before things got insane.

Granted a death can happen to anyone suddenly but this topic really isn't so much a gay rights issue but free speech and free thought issue.

SyberBitch

I think the 'offensive' part of her statement, was simply this.

She was asked if 'all states should follow suit' and her response was, essentially, that marriage should be between a man and a woman. I don't think it would have been as offensive if she had said something to the effect "I personally believe that marriage should be between a man and a woman, but of course each couple should be able to choose the partner they would like to marry".

I don't think it was the point that she didn't agree with gay marriage that was offensive, but the point that she believes (or it would appear so by what she said) in denying that choice to other people.

And I wouldn't blame her opinion for why she lost the competition. I'm not sure how the pageants work, but Perez was only one of the judges.

The Antagonist

Syber I don't see her statement as offensive in any way really. She answered honestly, without malice to anyone and said it's her personal opinion and how she was raised to believe.

That answer says it all regarding states following suit with Vermont. She said no.
While I don't agree with her opinion I would certainly defend her right to state it...Perez is a gossip monger, it's how he earns a buck & while I'm not that familiar with himI do know who he is and that he thrives on controversy..I have no doubt that he is one happy, lil' gay camper right now.

LuMPyPussy

Tempest in a teacup. She probably lost because she's not as good looking as the winner... it IS a beauty contest, after all.

The Antagonist

What really is a shame is that the comments that are going around by Perez Hilton are going unscathed.

Regardless that he is a gossip bitch, he is a judge of the pageant. He REPRESENTS the pageant wherever he goes and his actions make the whole thing into a scandalous affair.

If he worked for me in any capacity and I caught him behaving like a fool, commenting on things he's supposed to be in charge of as his work duties in the manner he's doing now for the pageant, I'd fire his ass in a heartbeat and deny him the unemployment insurance.

Whomever you work for, even on your off time, you represent that company. If you work for a famous company, you're in the spotlight all the more and I would expect some class and decorum.

Regardless of her opinion, his actions in my eyes are deplorable in contrast to her comments, which offended no one in all reality.
Why is this even a story ?...Is it because that hissy bitch Perez is so publicly crying the blues ?...This is America, everyone is entitled to their opinion.

The Antagonist

Exactly. His tirade caused all the stir. If he kept his big mouth shut, no one would be talking about it.
The whole thing is ridiculous. Not allowing gay marriage it not going to make gay relationships go away. It's not going to have any affect on the number of homosexuals. And PH is a douche bag. Why do they even ask questions like that at a beauty pagent?

SyberBitch

Well exactly. She would (if it were up to her, which it isn't) deny gay couples the right to marry. As I said, that is the only thing I found offensive about her statement. It's one thing to say that you don't agree with gay marriage and quite another to say that you think that gay couples should be deprived the ability to marry each other legally.

However, while I disagree with her, she's hardly alone in that opinion. Perez is just grandstanding to make a huge issue out of it and draw more attention to gay marriage (and himself). He's obviously a drama queen of the first degree.
She answered honestly and everyone is entitled to their beliefs. She didn't say that she thought her beliefs should be pushed on others, so I don't see what the big deal is.

I don't agree with her opinion, and I don't agree with the queer judge acting like a fool. Does it ever cross some of these fags minds that if they want to help gay rights then maybe they should stop turning it into a circus and keep their sex life in the bedroom like everyone else.

Exactly! Stop acting the fool and maybe people won't think you are one. You don'thear heterosexuals making a big deal about their sexuality. There is no heterosexual pride month. Doyour own thing and keep it private.

IF there is one thing I hate, it's gay men prancing around acting like idiots. Just be a regular person dammit and stop with the drama!
