Thing 1 and I went to his first Confirmation class last night. The process is so different then when I was a kid. Back then it was classes once a week with homework. Now they call it Generations of Faith and the classes are once a month and a parent must attend.

Last nights class was about Baptism. It was really very interesting how a Baptism is much like the funeral mass. A baby is blessed with holy water and his parents and God parents make the sign of the cross on the baby's forehead at the alter. The baby is taken down the aisle to the baptism fountain where you enter the chapel. During a funeral when the casket is brought into the church, the coffin is blessed with holy water before it's brought up the aisle to the alter. I just thought it was kinda cool how they tied that all together. Of course it got me thinking about LC and my brother and funerals and I got a little emotional but managed to keep it in.

Any of you guys have kids going for their Confirmation?

I'd like to confirm that BH has poop for brains.
Agreed.
*snort*
I was just browsing for new lingerie, and 'BH' is the German acronym for bra, so what I kinda read right there was "BH has boob for brains". Sometimes I love how my mind works. Wasnme

It's fine. All topics get derailed in here. It's par for the course.
I'm not Catholic and can't understand why anyone would want to be.

Oh, and BH is a retard.

Yeah, but is she a banned retard?

I had read that User suggested she be 86'ed from this club.
MS, is there a line through BH's name? If not, then she isn't banned.

I was pissed. I'm still pissed. Initially I thought she was just incredibly stupid but then when she continued to say it was no big deal after I pointed out all the information one could obtain from her post...dumb twat.

Still, I shouldn't have made the comment that she should get banned. I don't give a fuck about that part and it's not my place to suggest it. My anger got the best of me. 50
She pissed me off too, but I figured I'd just shut up for once and not draw anymore attention to it.

I didn't ban her because I didn't feel there was malicious intent behind her posting that.

Look, I'm not as strict as LC is. It's no secret that I pretty much let her rule Mock & I tried to always give her what she wanted because she spent way more time here than I did so it was important to me that she be comfortable. I'll do the best I can without her but I'm not always going to be on top of things the way she was.

Huh. There's a concept. Smiley_emoticons_slash
That's a bad concept, a bad, bad concept.

Does it take a big woman to admit when she was wrong?

In hindsight after I nicely asked her to edit her post and she said she couldn't and it was no big deal, blah, blah I wish I'd let it go until Duchess fixed the post and THEN ripped butthill a new asshole. Unfortunately, I'm not very good at being patient when I'm angry.
BUTTHILL hah

It takes an honest, self-reflexive (is that even a word?) person to admit when she is wrong. Just as it takes a courageous, caring woman to speak up in the first place. I still think that BH simply didn't realize the consequences, but still - I completely understood where you were coming from, and I can't see anything wrong in making unmistakeably clear how you feel.

fwiw, I was referring to the concept of never speaking up when being pissed off. That would not only give too many people a chance to get away with being idiots, it'd also be detrimental to the life of a site like Mock imo. Smiley_emoticons_wink

I meant after the fact that her post was edited and she was called out on it. I didn't even see her original post, the part where she said it was no big deal is what annoyed me, but I figured to just leave it alove because it would just draw more negative attention to a thread that was meant to be nice. Meh, Never fucking mind.
I've never been to a confirmation, so I don't know what actually happens. My kids have never been baptised or anything. I don't have any idea how church ceremonies operate.
