Do you feel a connection to your pet/s or to pets you've had in the past?

I'm certain my horse understands the sound of my laughter & my Beagle knew what I was going to do by whatever footwear I put on...not kidding.

Do I feel a connection? Absolutely. My dogs are my two favorite family members. No back talk. Just unconditional love.

Yes, my furry kids are part of the family.

I don't need to say much other than I rate my last dog as a better human than anyone I have ever know.

Yes. I think they have some sort of natural instinct to figure us out. A couple weeks back, I went to a friends house, quite upset, crying and very down. Her cat, who will acknowlege humans, but is typically aloof, came over to where I was sitting, hopped up on the chair, and just sat with me. He left when I started to calm down.

I love my dog. The remaining guinea pig, I tolerate.

I'm not sure how "connected" we are (my dog doesn't seem that bright) but we do play this little game. If she sneezes and I make a similar noise back to her, she'll sneeze again. We'll go back and forth 6 or so times before she gives me a look like "yeah, I'm done now".

She's incredibly friendly. Poor thing was a stray and she'd been shot in the head with a pellet gun and had heartworm when they found her.

Pets are a business in the billions of dollars. Almost everything that can be done for a human medically can be done for an animal & there are those owners who will put out big bucks for their pet in a life threatening situation. Some have regular dental checkups and trips to the groomer as well as their own stocking at Christmas, etc.

I really can't imagine a day in my life without an animal in it.

I don't read stories about animal abuse & I've been known to clap my hands over my ears if I start to hear about it on television because my imagination has no trouble conjuring up a mental picture of the horror done to an animal.

I have a strong connection with my "Abbie girl".
She is the best dog I have ever had. She knows when I'm upset and she will snuggle with me all day if I wanted her too. She sleeps in our bed most nights and when she's not in our bed she is under it. I love her to pieces.

I have two dogs and a cat. I absolutely love them just like I love my family. We also got a new addition to the family, my sons hamster. He got it for his birthday today amongst other things.

I have 2 cats and they definitely anticipate my moods and my needs. When I'm stressed, they both sleep in my lap, purring up a storm, knowing that it relaxes me to have them there. When I'm happy, the kitten brings toys to play fetch or hide and go seek or make the bed. When I'm tired they curl up next to me.

Yup, love my dogs. They are just like kids.

My dogs do that too. They go crazy if they see me in sneakers because they know I wear those to take them for a run. I can't let them see me put them on if I'm not planning on walking them.

Dogs are clever and compassionate I love them.
