Shirley Nunez Hit Cop-Husband Kenneth Nunez With Pickup Truck, Pointed Gun At Suspected Mistress, Police Say

Hmm, I don't think I blame her. Maybe she can get an all woman jury!

An Oregon woman is accused of ramming her cop-husband with a pickup truck and pointing a gun at his suspected mistress.

Kenneth M. Nunez, a 48-year-old patrolman, is in critical condition following the incident early Monday morning, The Oregonian reports.

Police say that the victim's wife, Shirley Nunez, 47, confronted the woman she suspected her husband of having an affair with. Nunez allegedly pointed a gun at the suspected mistress and then left in a 2003 Ford F-150 pickup truck. Moments later, she allegedly struck her husband as he approached his motorcycle, KATU reports.

The screaming from the crash woke neighbors, who walked outside to find Kenneth Nunez unconscious on the grass, according to the Statesman-Journal.

Authorities escorted Shirley Nunez to Salem Hospital for medical evaluation. She was then booked at the Marion County Correctional Facility and charged with attempted murder, first-degree assault, first-degree burglary, menacing, pointing a firearm at another person and unlawful use of a weapon.

Does the law give consideration to crimes of passion or is it all treated equally?

...as I posted that I remembered the woman who ran over her husband repeatedly with her Mercedes, I think she killed him. I recall seeing video that made it appear she was going over a speed bump every time she ran over him.

Back when I was young, naive and married to an Hispanic woman, I thought it was just Latinas who were crazy jealous.

Now I know the errors of my ways.

It's all women who are crazy.

Seriously, all women possess the crazy gene (I've posted this before). Some are just crazier than others.

BTW, I'm not excusing what this guy did or saying that he didn't deserve what he had coming.

She got 20 years! Damn!

I think being jealous is a wasted emotion, not to mention demeaning. Having said that, I had a crazy moment, I didn't do anything stupid but I sure ran my mouth in a stupid way, I cringe whenever I recall it. Ugh. Who was that woman.

Been there, done that. I was wrong too! That's what is most shameful.
