Cruel traffickers forced the 28-year-old Panamanian woman to undergo surgery where several bags of the Class A drug were inserted beneath her skin – much like a breast implant. She was stopped earlier this month at Barcelona’s El Prat airport, following a flight on Colombia’s Avianca airline, after police thought she was ‘acting funny’. During a search, they found a blood soaked bandage covering her chest – which she admitted resulted from the operation to introduce the packets of drugs into her body. She was rushed to a medical centre in the city, where doctors removed 1.8 kilos of cocaine in a number of sealed bags.

Holy shit!!! Ouch!
Well Shit Negro That's all you had to say!
Those scumbags would take a baby and stuff it full of drugs. All dirtballs.
1.8 kilos?? That's a lot of blow.

hah I was busy cupping/protecting my breasts. Jeebus, that poor woman (although how the HELL do you get yourself in to a position like that)? Did they even give her pain meds?
If the woman in the OP was truly forced, it's a very sad story.

I remember reading about drugs being smuggled in a baby's corpse; pretty sure that turned out to be an urban legend.

I know that the Colombians went so far as to surgically implant heroin into puppies though; found the story (from back in 2006).

The Colombian organization brought more than 20 kilograms of heroin into the United States, concealing some of it by slitting open purebred puppies, according to John P. Gilbride, the DEA’s New York Field Division special agent-in-charge, in a news release. At least three puppies died from having liquid heroin packets placed inside them and then being stitched back up, DEA spokesman David Ausiello said.

Ok, so these are not little slits in her breasts. To fit 1.8 kilos (even split between each breast) is not an easy thing. Ouch, is right.

Sometimes I think there are way more fucked up people in the world than wonderful humans.

Probably numbed the area with blow and gave her some to do to boot. I doubt they gave a shit about her pain.

I didn't read the story - did they even stitch her up?
If you're going to go through all that trouble why not do a clean surgery and give the person something for pain so they're not bent over in agony with fluid leaking out of them.

Unless there is more than one story with the same details, it's an unsubstantiated story that's been circulating for almost 30 years and was even carried by the Washington Post, who then had to retract it. Could be another one that you're talking about, I guess. I've only ever read about the one.

In the opening paragraph of an article last Monday on crime in Miami, the Washington Post recounted a story that cannot be substantiated. The story, told to a Post reporter several years ago by a Miami undercover agent, involves the smuggling of cocaine into the United States in the body of a dead baby.
Clifton Stallings, a spokesman for the U.S. Customs Service in Miami, said "the story has been in circulation for some time. No one at Customs in Miami can verify it."

This makes me think that possibly the lady mule is lying about being forced by traffickers and was operating voluntarily, independently, or on a smaller amateur scale. Experienced traffickers wouldn't be so sloppy as to take such an obvious huge risk. Interesting to see how this story turns out.

Pix of the cocaine breast implants have been released -
