So they drop wrestling the oldest sport in the olympics and keep shit like synchronized swimming and want to add wakeboarding or some other numb sport. What bunch of idiots.

I wonder why they'd chose to keep a pansyass sport over wrestling.
Because they're all limp wristed sniveling snots.
There's a lot of stupid "sports" they need to get rid of...wrestling isn't one of them.

At least they stopped doing it naked, have you ever seen chariots of fire? hah
This is surprising. Wrestling is the oldest sport and a good watch.

But hey, at least speed race walking is safe...

Or, could it be a gay conspiracy to rid the world of heterosexuality?

“If they expel wrestling now, that means that gays will soon run the whole world,” (Russian coach) Uruimagov said, adding that cutting wrestling from the Olympic program was “a blow to masculine origins.”

That is not a sport, that is a moron.
If Kim Kardasion did that it would make that fence tip over.

If Kate Upton did that it would be much more of a spectator sport. Smiley_emoticons_smile

Off direct topic but related to Olympic track and field sports, I just read that Oscar Pistorius was arrested at his home in South Africa today for the shooting murder of his girlfriend, model Reeva Steenkamp. Shocked me. There was a lot of publicity last year around him being the first double amputee to compete in the Olympics; my family and I were really rooting for him. He's regarded as a hero in South Africa, from what I understand, and had a lot of lucrative endorsements underway. Weird story, but details are still sketchy at this point.

Well . . . it will only cost him an arm or two.

He should be grateful.

They'd have Bolt's legs.

True, certainly won't cost him an arm and a leg.

Bolt could probably outrun the law; the man is lightning...
I wonder what made him snap?

You know I'm wanting every damned leg joke right now!

Maybe he buckled under the pressure of fame?

Such a kneedless tragedy.

Apparently, there are reports of domestic emergency calls having been made to his home in the past, but it's not yet clear if those occurred during the short time that he'd been dating Ms. Steenkamp or what those emergencies entailed.

hah

You know "doesn't have a leg to stand on" will be used by the prosecution.

For some reason the lyrics to the Hokey Pokey started running through my head.
I wonder what he was so angry about? It's not like he doesn't have le...nevermind.

Maybe Ruby took her love to town?

Pistorius was recently involved in an altercation over a woman with a multi-millionaire. Police had to intervene to settle the matter.

IDK. Looks like he MIGHT have been a hot head. It's possible that he was possessive and became frustrated when attempts to put his foot down with women were unsuccessful. Unless his lawyer can sell an accidental shooting, could be damn near impossible for Pisotrius to get a leg up on the charges. Neither his lawyer nor Pistorius has commented thus far; no way he's gonna put his foot in his mouth.

Okay, done...
