I know HOTD loves this stuff.....a church in L’Hospitalet, near Barcelona.

Heres the story, link
It's really beautiful. Amazing what spray paint in the right hands can do.

Great story too. It's good to see the priest reaching out to the street artists, teaching them about traditional art, and letting them use their modern technique to create something unique that still looks right at home in a church dome.

Reminded me of a story that I read earlier this year about a church in an area of Washington DC which is being redeveloped and attracting a lot of artist-types. Instead of adding art or stained glass windows to the inside of the structure, the church commissioned a well-known local graffiti artist to completely transform the outside of the building.

I like the DC concept of making the church less stuffy and more in line with the demographic, but the results take some getting used to. The artist, Hense, used spray paint, rollers, blotters and brushes.

That looks more like a Disneyland building than a church.
I made a graffiti thread somewhere I think, maybe not...

You posted cool pix after a visit back to your hometown. Is that what you are referring to?

I really liked the ones you posted a while back from your hometown.

Here are a few that I took yesterday. These are from the inner Mission District; mostly on the backs of houses and walls in little alleys that connect Valencia and Mission Street.
