I encounter a lot of smart people, here and in-person.

But, there do seem to be a hell of a lot of dumbasses out there too.

I don't know if America is dumbing down or maybe if it just seems like there are more dumbasses, what with news morphing into entertainment and opinion media, attention whores baring their superficial lives for the world to see on reality tv and being celebrated for it, etc...

Maybe the dumbasses just have a bigger stage (which could encourage more dumbness?).

If you're dumb, surround yourself with smart people and if you're smart, surround yourself with smart people who disagree with you.

If the best you can do is say "Wow" when confronted with something that troubles you, you suck. It's not even the first time I've expressed the sentiment, not sure why some are feigning surprise.

I think it's dumb as shit to vote based on emotion. It fucks the rest of us. He was voted in because of his color. There was no track record, military or otherwise, to support voting in a black Chicago politician. It was just stupid as fuck. Two times.

It was hard for me to grasp that voters believed a "feeling" was a commodity created by and distributed to the masses through legislation.

I voted for Obeezy because he is a lefty like me.

People have always been stupid and didn't know it. Now many people wear their stupidity like it's a badge of honor and insist on their right to not only be stupid but to make the world safe for their stupidity. The educational system has failed and it affects us all even though some of us try to maintain some semblance of intelligence and sanity.

The country has jumped the shark. Much of the world was right in front of us and more is coming along for the ride. Hold onto your hats, it's bound to get pretty bumpy.

If any individual has not started to become more independant of government and not paid down any debt or begun to hoard commodities that are readily sellable and a reliable source of income, they have already missed the boat.

Dumbing down starts at the top.
