No. Who cares what they wear? As long as it is not too revealing or inappropriate, they should wear what they feel comfortable in.

It appears the ones complaining are other students. These are Jr.'s & Sr's, they need to grow the hell up, they will soon be out in the real world and they need to learn how to deal with this kind of thing. They could end up working with a dyke who comes to work dressed as a man everyday.

My gut reaction: Fuck the tuxes! Go all the way and have yourself a non-traditional prom. Don't shit on the straight kids' fun.
I think the thought of some of the girls wearing a tux made some of the students uncomfortable. This is the same school where they actually have a gay & lesbian "club" so go figure.
I wore a tux when I was a friend's best man at his wedding. I looked fantastic, not dykey at all.
Some gals just can't pull-off "Butch" no matter how hard they try.
