Do you smoke? If not, does it bother you to be around those who do? Do you tell your guests they can't smoke in your home/vehicle?
Duchess, I quit smoking on my 21st birthday. That's a long time ago. I cannot stand smoking and I do not allow smoking in my home or car. I choose to not be around smokers and even hate the smell that remains on their clothing even if they are not smoking in my presence.
I'm not a smoker and never have been. I'm not one that criticizes others that do smoke, except my mother with her I use the "Don't you want to live to see your grandchildren graduate/get married/etc". Hasn't worked yet so I've eased up on it. I hate the smell of smoke. I work in an office that is connected to a factory and guys from the plant walk by my office and it lingers, it make me gag.

This except the quit at 21 part. I smoked a bit off and on until the day my father was diagnosed with lung cancer. I really only smoked occasionally so it wasn't hard to quit. Smoking for me is a deal breaker.
All of you who have a disdain for smokers are going to end up like Roger Ebert, having your jaw removed and looking like a fucked up puppet.

I smoke on and off, but I don't allow it in my house or car. I used to clean for an old lady that chain smoked in her house and at first I thought the walls were painted yellow, but it was actually nicotine. Everything in her house was covered in it.
I smoke a cigar every once in awhile. Very relaxing.
hah

It's funny, to me, that everyone assumed you were talking about tobacco!

Sorry, girl . . . I see "Duchess" & "Smoking" and . . .
I don't let people smoke weed in my car or house either, the next thing you know they're burning holes in your goddamn leather.

I'll smoke a cigarette on occasion & I always get a head rush. I have a pack that's probably years old at this point. Most people that come here don't smoke but I don't have a problem allowing them to smoke in my home, my car is a different story though, I have "blonde" interior and I'm absolutely rabid about keeping it immaculate. 78

I don't look down on smokers, I only judge bullshit stuff like pajama pants & handbags.
When I was a kid my parents had these tall decorative ashtray holders standing next to the sofas and chairs. "Oh that ashtray holder with 20 butts in it just accents your couch beautifully". 78

If I have people over, they can smoke in the house. My truck's a mess, so I don't care if they smoke there either, if the window's rolled down.

If I had kids, I'd care more about it, though my parents smoked a lot indoors and none of us have any second-hand smoke issues.
