You would think that a State with such great natural resources would be thriving and strumming right along like a fine tuned piano. 11 Good luck with diversity.

up the chetco and rogue river at gold beach.

the cascade mountians behind all of it.

sometimes I really miss living there.

I spent some time in Sac, when my brother was stationed at mather air force base.

I can't say it was bad but I was only there for a few months back in the early 70's.

You should know where Encinitas is. That's where I've lived since 1987. Sleepy little coastal community.

It rained today, but we needed it so no hassle.

I never really got that far north except for the county fair. Pretty expensive real estate up that way, is your wife rich?

We were fortunate to purchase back in 1989. We probably honestly couldn't afford to purchase today even with the market taking a 30%+ hit over the last few years.

I used to live on Mather AFB... back before the fucking BRAC closed all the bases.

That could probably be said of any place or time in my past. But I refuse to act like an old fuck and say the same shit that everyone has already said.

You can literally buy a huge estate in WV for $100-200k. The price differences are absolutely nuts.

I lived almost 'on' the Rogue River when I was in Chiloquin, OR.

That place sucks ass if you're looking for work though.

I know. I recently visited family back east (Indiana) and they had BEAUTIFUL homes (with finished basements!!!) in that price range.

I'd move. My husband...not so much.52

Humbolt has the redwoods and the best bud on the west coast.

I couldn't care less about the 'bud', but the redwoods are cool. Smiley_emoticons_smile
