PARSONS, Tennessee (Isabelle Zehnder reporting) -- Two weeks after she was abducted from outside her Tennessee home law enforcement officials say they're narrowing their search for Holly Bobo as they continue pouring through hundreds of leads, working to identify persons of interest. An attempt is made to dispell some of the online rumors in this case.
Holly is the Tennessee nursing student who was abducted from outside her family home in Parsons, Tennessee, Link: http://www.examiner.com/missing-persons-...next-steps

Sorry if someone has already mentioned this. A Jackson, TN radio personality has said on air earlier in the week (according to another board) that he has a source within LE (although not the inner center of the case) that tells him Holly IS alive. He also made a post on his Facebook wall staying she IS alive...I am taking it with a HUGE grain of salt and not considering it credible. However, why would someone in radio for about 20 years risk his career and make this up??? Maybe he just has a bad source and is reporting rumors or something that he believes to be true...he has not made a post since on FB nor answered when someone asked for an update. Someone who listens to his program says that he did claim a non named LE as a source and since his original on air declaration, has stated on later show that things will be revealed within the next few days...I still personally feel it is bs. Others discount it as well, especially since this dumb quote is on his fb profile:
'I am often wrong...but never in doubt' b B FB link: http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1...72&sk=wall For those without FB here are some of his posts: B Holly Bobo IS alive. wish i cud tell you more. but can't. Unconfirmed. But extremely possible it appears. Monday at 10:16pm B the info is very probable. but in this business you never know until the authorities speak. Monday at 10:19pm. B W kepp praying. C You are the reliable source B. You know better to post before confirmation. Shame on you if it's another rumor. Pray not. End of pasted FB comments

i edited out the names.
this is why i don't want FB rumors to be taken too seriously in the crime forum. i read them too sometimes, and understand the interest. but frankly most of it is bollocks. once in a while a fact sneaks through. rumors are insane at this point in this case, because everyone has been kept in total darkness. note, the fb link didn't work for me.

Very interesting post! I realize this rumor is unconfirmed, but when I read about the fundraising started by the family, with all funds going to the family, it shocked me and I couldn't help wondering if Holly's disappearance might have been set up by members of her family as a way to make some money. I hope I'm just being a cynical bitch; so many volunteers have given their valuable time in the search and I'd hate to think they've been played.

I was on a site last night and someone posted this address
that was on the goggle maps to find holly bobo It has already been deleted off the map NOT SURE WHY try it if you want Hayne Blvd. and Bass Street new orleans la Put in goggle maps this is just info i found not sure it means anything i was looking at this map and the airport is really close if you think she's not in tenn anymore I would like to know why it was deleted so fast off the holly bobo search maps

Re: the map question I think I can answer it. It was brought up elsewhere as some thought it could have an airport connection to Holly. Others brought up the fact that the map creator is someone that helps do the google maps for many missing cases and they believed she inadvertently added a link to the Bobo map when it should have been included on another different case for two boys missing in Lousiana. If the link has been deleted, I am guesing she (map creator) was notified of this and deleted the Bobo connection and put it on the proper map for another case and that it was initially linked to the Bobo case in error.

Do you guys think LE has any idea where she is or who took her at this point? Or is the reason they are so quiet because they in fact don't have any idea? I am starting to wonder at this point with no new information.

Examiner.com: Holly Bobo Abduction: 2-week-wrap-up; rumors dispelled; next steps
http://www.examiner.com/missing-persons-...next-steps snip: Identifying persons of interest CBS reported, "Tennessee law enforcement officials say that the search for missing nursing student Holly Bobo is narrowing, as they begin the process of identifying persons of interest in the case." An email was sent to Kristin Helm, the spokeswoman for the Tennessee Bureau of Investigations, Wednesday to confirm the CBS report. This was Helm's response: "No, that's incorrect. What I told the reporter was that our investigation was narrowing, there was no mention of a person of interest. "Meaning that there's a lot of things we know now that we didn't know ten days ago and that our investigation is more focused. We are currently still following all leads."

Dammit! how about this one:
Investigators Examine Cases Of Missing Women Cases Back To 1980 Considered In Missing Woman Search http://www.wsmv.com/news/27708018/detail.html snip: Channel 4 News has learned the investigation into the disappearance of a woman last seen being led away from her Parsons home weeks ago is now drawing other cases of missing and slain women in the same area. Investigators are considering cases involving at least four women who were abducted back to 1980. In 1980, two teenage girls walked to a store in Dover. They bought their items, began the one-mile walk home and were not seen again. Six weeks later, 14-year-old Carla Atkins and 16-year-old Vicky Stout were found dead. They had been executed in a remote area of Land Between the Lakes.
