It seems like no matter what Cindy & George do they are attacked?
come on.. they didn't ask for any of this in the first place. I don't think they wanted in any shape or form for their granddaughter to be murdered. I don't think they chose to go through such a hellish trial (yes even though they lied.. you can't judge if you have not been in their shoes). I am sure that they would trade everything they have right now in this world for Caylee back.

What's done is done. They cannot bring Caylee back. I don't see anything wrong with them going on a getaway. After that grueling trial, after everything they've been through, I'd want to get the hell out of Florida too. Just wondering, would you guys that keep criticizing them prefer for them to hole themselves inside their house, or what? And I guess they can't buy anything anymore, ever? I don't get it... I guess what I want to know is what do you want from them?

what's it gonna do really though? Yeah Cindy should not have lied on the stand but I can't help but feel sorry for her. The way I see it, she had already lost her beloved granddaughter, she did not want to lose Casey as well (death penalty), because in the end, that is still her daughter. I guess I just find it hard to hate on Cindy and George. They have been through hell.. I don't know how the fuck I'd be able to deal with all that. I could see how heartbroken they were, it was just sad.

i don't "hate". they are beneath contempt.

from day one of the case, when cindy first called the police about the missing Caylee, they have lied and taken money for TV appearances. they thwarted legitimate searches. they are greedy media whores. and they are still using their grandchild for profit. they want to collect a salary for another "foundation"? oh please. it makes most observers nauseous.

nobody would blame them for not wanting their murdering skank daughter on death row. they could have pleaded for her worthless life in a penalty phase.

no, they have totally dishonored their grandchild, betrayed her and her memory.

When someone claims 'Disability', this implies a limited income stream.

Who knows? Maybe their 'disabilities' were from an accident and they received a huge settlement. It's possible, but I kinda fucking doubt it.

Vacations are a luxury to many folks. Especially to those on limited incomes. To me, there lies the conundrum.

On the bright side, I guess they won't be having to spend the money they were saving for a pool fence.

Maybe that's the money they are using, for their getaway, in the Bahamas.

Maybe they had a couple of life insurance policies on caylee, and when casey was found innocent they paid off?

LC, the only way anyone would see that Casey mask around my home is if it was hanging from the tree in my front yard.
It's the hint of arsenic that gives it that extra kick.

That will be the deal she takes, it could possibly land her a lawyer husband, I think she will need one in the not too far distant future.

Orlando Sentinel

August 1, 2011

Orange Circuit Judge Stan Strickland signed amended court documents this morning that he says will have the effect of requiring Casey Anthony to serve one year of supervised probation as he originally intended back when he sentenced her in her check fraud case.

"From my reading of this, she should be reporting to probation in Orlando probably within 72 hours," Strickland said this morning. "I suspect she's going to be required to report to probation."

Court administration officials released the amended documents earlier today.

Meanwhile, Department of Corrections spokeswoman Gretl Plessinger confirmed today that her Department is reaching out to Casey Anthony's attorneys about having her report to probation.

"We're in contact with Casey Anthony's attorneys to set up her first report visit," Plessinger said.

According to the revised court order, amended this morning, she will have to report in person within 72 hours, Plessinger said.

However, case experts dispute whether the amended documents will have the legal force to compel Casey Anthony to realistically serve probation now.

Confusion lingered late last week over whether Casey Anthony should have to serve a year of probation in her check-fraud case now that she is out of jail.

Strickland said on Thursday that his intention in sentencing Anthony last year was that she should go on supervised probation if released from custody. But state Department of Corrections officials interpreted Strickland's order as meaning that Casey Anthony should serve her probation while still in jail awaiting trial in connection with the 2008 death of her daughter Caylee Marie.

DOC terminated Anthony's probation on Jan. 24. And Anthony, 25, left the Orange County Jail on July 17 with no restrictions following her acquittal at trial in the murder case last month. (She was convicted last month of the misdemeanor charges of lying to law enforcement, but ended up receiving credit for time served in jail for those counts.)

On Friday, Plessinger said the Department would apply supervised probation now, if the court issued an amended order in the check fraud case.

The Orange County Clerk of Courts office confirmed Friday that it was working to amend the wording in one of Anthony's sentencing documents to more accurately reflect Strickland's intentions.

That document, commonly referred to as the minutes, lacked the specific wording "upon release," said Leesa Bainbridge, the clerk's office spokeswoman.

That document was amended and Strickland signed it today.

It's likely Casey Anthony's defense team will challenge this turn of events, and say that Anthony should not serve probation because she already did that while in jail. An argument claiming "double jeopardy" is expected.

If that happens, the defense would have to make that legal argument before Orange-Osceola Chief Judge Belvin Perry in some kind of emergency hearing.

Members of Anthony's defense team could not be immediately reached for comment this morning.

Casey Anthony's lawyer challenges new probation order

http://www.reuters.com/article/2011/08/0...RM20110802

A lawyer for Casey Anthony, the single mother acquitted last month of murdering her two-year-old daughter, on Tuesday challenged a judge who wants Anthony to start serving probation for check fraud charges.

Anthony, 25, was ordered to report to a probation office this week on orders of Judge Stan Strickland for check fraud charges she admitted to in 2010.

The judge said he meant for Anthony to serve a year of probation after her release from jail on the murder charge, rather than during her incarceration.

In an emergency motion filed on Tuesday, defense attorney Cheney Mason said Strickland had stated in court at the time of Anthony's check fraud plea that she would serve probation after her release from jail, but failed to repeat that in his final order.

Therefore, Anthony completed her probation in jail while awaiting trial for the murder case, Mason said.

Strickland presided over Anthony's murder case until 2010, when he stepped down at the request of her defense team.

Anthony was released from jail in Orlando last month without any restrictions on her freedom following her acquittal on a murder charge connected to the 2008 death of her 2-year-old daughter Caylee.

Her whereabouts have been kept secret from the public in the weeks since her release, and the judge's order prompted speculation that she would be required to report to a probation office in Orlando.

motion was expected.
and nobody is doing squat, Judge Strickland is off on vacation. so if it isn't addressed first thing in morning, a bench warrant may issue for her.

but she gets away with murder, so i'm not counting on it.

Yeah.

I want the judge to say it was an 'innocent oversight' on his part and his intent was clearly expressed in open court.

I hope no motions were filed, by her attorneys, immediately after his announcement of probation AFTER release from jail.

it was the Judge's clerk's error! not the Judge's oversight. i think Perry may hear this tomorrow. we'll see. i do not count on her coming in. even if warrant issues. they'll say she's "getting therapy" or some bullshit.
