Hurricane Irene

I have a barn that holds that stuff easy. I have a bunch of coleman lanterns in the garage.
If you think about it toss some gallon jugs of water in the freezer.

Took in all possible projectiles from all around the outside of the villa, tied the BBQ to deck's sturdy railing. Now just hope the new roof installed 5 years ago, holds up to its 118mph wind velocity rating. Good luck to all of us in harms way!

They always cut power to non-essential personnel. I'm sorry, but look on the bright side.

Thanks, already did that. Forgot to mention, got my 6 gas lanterns all gassed up & ready to go! Along with 4 flashlights, extra batteries, & battery operated radio.

Let us know how you all are (if you can) tomorrow evening and Sunday. Best wishes for your family, health, pets, and property. It's hard to pick just one of those...

On the bright side, your property is worth less than if this bitch hit in say, 2005.

Count your financial blessings.

Can't sleep. Worried about my loved ones in Cherry Point, NC. Winds tomorrow around 80mph, around 50mph now. Cell phone going straight to voicemail. The baby is due any day. Stressing about the 8 hour drive back here or if they are somewhere in between. Can't be fun for any of them...

If this is someone you admire & pay attention to, I think you have shit for brains. Yes, I do. He's a dumb fuck & he's another one I'd like to whale on with my handbag, I have no doubt that I could make him cry like a lil' bitch.

Glenn Beck called Hurricane Irene a "blessing" on his Friday radio show, saying it would teach people to be prepared for disasters.

As the hurricane barreled towards the East Coast, Beck said that it would be a valuable lesson for people who have not heeded his warnings. He said he has long told his followers to stock up in case of "global disruption in food." He said that, even though people had mocked him for it, disaster preparedness was key to him.

"If you've waited [until now], this hurricane is a blessing," he said. "It is God reminding you, as was the earthquake last week...you're not in control."

I've done my part, and sent him the leftover's from all of my "end of the world" parties. The most recent donation was on May 22,

Winds around 80mph around Cherry Point. I got a tex that everything is OK for now, lots of trees coming down. Higher winds expected later today and tonight. Expecting at least 8" of rain, 5" already of what they are calling "flooding rain." It will get bigger as it goes north.

I hope Misguided is OK, they will be getting it later.

Whew...Cracker, glad to hear that your family members in Cherry Point are OK. We are just getting some high winds and a little rain now. It rained most of the night. Nothing much to worry about, still have power.

are only sane people allowed their opinion in this land of plenty, covered with milk and honey, and horse manure?

I bought 2 extra cans of green beans just to shut him up.

Earthquake, hurricane, massive flooding, chance of tornadoes. That's life on the East Coast this week.
