Going Home
#21
I had 2 one night stands, both with men I was friends with and knew well. One of them is still one of my very good friends to this day, the other? We don't talk anymore. We said the sex wouldn't ruin it but I think we both know it did.

I don't know that id consider my friend a slut, she doesn't do it all the time, but every time she does, I always worry I'm going to end up hearing about her on the 6:00 news.
Just shut up. Just shut the fuck up right now.

I just don't think people have the same judgment when they are drinking. I'll talk to anybody. Redneck, biker guys, dumb people, dorks, chubbies, doesn't matter to me if I am out and about. I wouldn't hump them, though. Or give them my number.

I don't doubt that the women of Mock are above average (most, anyway).

The premise of this thread was 'Who'd have a One-Nighter?'

LucyLynn was skeeved out because her friend readily admitted it. She was more aghast because she thought her friend could be in physical danger, and I do agree with that. You're never sure who you're going home with.

You and I can disagree about this next point, but my guess is that close to 60% of women have had a true 1 night stand at some point in their lives.

The ones that have been in Las Vegas or Mexico, or just in Chicago on business and had a quick bang are probably just fine with it.

The ones who went to the bar with their friends and met a guy who they talked to for a while (felt they 'got to know' a little) and then proceeded to go fuck afterward, are the ones who probably don't want to admit it. Because he never called them back. Shitty feeling.

Not every woman who's done this is a total slut. Alcohol can make you do many, many things you wouldn't do sober.

I've been faithfully married since I was 16 so that doesn't leave too much time for one night stands prior to that, however, I was somewhat of a promiscuous teenager and I didn't wear a white dress for my wedding.

I think that's all good when you're in highschool or college, but I think at some point going home with strange drunks from the bar would start to get old and maybe a bit degrading.

I have absolutely had what I consider to be a one-nighter--sleep with someone for a night, no fuss, no muss, no expectations for a relationship but I knew the person(s) before I jumped their bones. I didn't go home with strangers.

16?? How are things in Kentucky, anyway?

I would say someone that does it repeatedly has a problem.

But maybe not, who am I to judge?

You patronizing little piece of pig poo, what the FUCK are you talking about? Maybe that's true for the mindless, needy, braindead women you've had to date but that's absolutely NOT true as a broad statement.

I had a few great one nighters made even better by the fact that I knew for certain I had no emotional investment. They call them friends with benefits these days. Asshat

We dated for a year and then he got a letter saying he had thirty days to change his status or leave the country. We were in love just like Romeo and Juliet so I was able to talk my mom into signing the paper. My dad wasn't too happy, but he got over it hah.

Is it better to be knocked up or a green card bride? Isn't it a toss up?

User, I don't get it. At first you said 'no' you hadn't had a 1-nighter.

Now, you've had several, as I suspected.

I'm not trying to judge, but I'm not understanding what you're mad at me about??

I'm agreeing with your statement about an 'unemotional' quickie.

I don't think I'm a slut for having a couple of one night stands back in the day, but some people might think it. I guess it depends on your definition of slut. Some people might consider me a slut because I have had lots of sex without being married (mostly very long term relationships, but some not). Others might think because I didn't know the two fiiiine one night stand men well beforehand (but did afterwards) that it was slutty, but still not consider me a slut as it isn't/wasn't a pattern of ongoing behavior. And, still others like LuciferLynn's friend might think only two one-nighters back in my 20s makes me almost a born again virgin.

It really doesn't matter what anyone else thinks and it's not like I would bring it up in conversation IRL, so how woud people that I interface with personally even know or care? I enjoyed myself and didn't hurt anyone or get hurt. My niece and nephew weren't home at the times. I feel fine about it, just not something I'd do now that I'm wiser and more responsible (and in many ways, less fun but more secure).

Oh, this was directed at ME.

Nice. I wasn't actually thinking knocked up, but I was thinking hillbilly (you know, like southern Indiana).

I'm sure her dad WAS livid. I bet it took him many, many years to be 'okay' with it.

I don't know, either way we were made for each other which isn't something most people here can say about their 1st or 6th marriage.

Hahahaha. Nobody thinks anybody is a slut. I have friends who do that all the time. I have driven home alone more than once. And, as MS said, I have had to listen to the "Why didn't he call????" thing, too.

Get it while you can. Just don't get more than you bargained for.

This is true.

I think marriage is a crap shoot.

Not many people anywhere can say they were lucky enough to meet the person that they were meant to be with at such a young age, and smart enough to realize it and hold onto each other after years of marriage. Not many people that I know anyway. Of course, I and all of my friends are sluts! hah

The implication that women are looking for "more" and that they feel "used" after a one night stand. Patronizing. Not all women are fantasizing about a long term relationship when they hop in to bed with a guy and depending on how it went, they might be more than a little relieved if they don't ever hear from the pencil dick again.

It was a joke MS! Kinda. My two best friends are men. They love women. They treat their girlfriends well, but have had many many many a one-night stand when not in relationships. I don't consider them sluts (but they would probably embrace the label - go figure).
