Breastfeed all day, there's no denying it's whats best for your baby. Key word? BABY. By the time children are as old as the child in that photo, they should be getting ALL their nutrition from table meals, not titty meals. When I was nursing, my doctor told me that by the time the baby was 18 months, the breast milk was lower in nutrition and there was no nutritional point to nursing beyond that. They can't put a blanket or something over that? Jesus.

I've read stories of kids well past 3 still breastfeeding...sick.
If these freaks insist on kids having their breast-milk, why can't they pump and put it in a damn cup?

This Dr. Sears covered in the article is the guru for "attachment parenting". I'm not sure if it has anything to do with breast milk being healthier, but he definitely promotes the physical bonding with the child for longer than conventional standards. He also advocates wearing small children in slings across the body and sleeping with them. Supposedly, this will result in more secure and confident children and adults.

I'm not a mother, but in my opinion, sounds like a good recipe to raise a bunch of pussies.

I had a friend once that did the co-sleeping and she nursed her oldest til a year and weaned bc she got pregnant again, but still nursed her youngest for who knows how long. When I moved away, her kids were almost one and almost 3, not sleeping through the night unless she went in and laid with them and cried if you looked at them funny. My kids wouldn't sleep in my bed if you paid them. Its been like that since they were babies, they hated it, and with the nursing it would have been easier, but they were having none of it.

Sleeping with your children = bad

Ha! I'm reminded of a vacation we took once when my oldest was 3. We got two beds in the hotel, but they were in the same room and he said "wait. I have to sleep in YOUR ROOM?!" They hate it.

You can bond with your babies/toddler without having them suck on your boobs. I cuddled by kids with their blankies and bottles or sippy cups. No boobs involved.
