I am not from Ohio. I do not know how long they have been married. However, they are married that is not fair. They should not work the same cases.

If I were either Williams or Pettaway's lawyer...i would use the judge prosecutor nuptial as a defense if client is found guilty.

If you want to waist Tax payers money then go ahead and have hubby and wife work the same case.

Obama is not part of this case. The 2012 Nov election is approaching though and this forum gets many readers.

On what grounds? Its not illegal for them to be married, and the burden of proof (an exact item of evidence) will be upon to Defense to prove corruption.

Even so, it won't hold up because it will be a Jury that decides upon the guilt or innocence of the suspect(s).

Opps sorry mean to write Defendant (or at that point Convict) would have to show good reason for the appeal

appeals may be automatic in some situations, but the fact is they are not easy to win. that's why many high-profile cases have appeals lawyers on board. appeals require judicial error during the trial, among other things. it's an entirely different burden.

I wish I could read the appeal that was filed. Looks like the Defendant is citing an Atkins claim. Which, I don't see how that will work at this point in the game. But, I still think Pettaway looks retarded in the latest photo.
