Johnny S. Clarke & Lisa Straub- young Ohio couple murdered
Aberlin, post #22111 unfortunately 13 ABC didn't do videos' of the trial but,
the following from the Toledo Blade 7/25/2012, In particular defense attorneys pointed out that the DNA of "unknown female number one was found on the tape and inside the pockets of clarke's sweatpants and sweatshirt. So number 1 is the main one by the looks of it Aberlin, she was even inside his pockets searching for something? If the other female DNA is from a hair, Johnny clipped hair a lot, hair can be kind of static like, I think we've all experienced "Oh where did that hair come from?" yet it was not ours. Thanks! for bringing the random hair up!

A transcript would have been better! DNA was collected from cell phones and other items according to the Blade.

Excellent!! That definitely paints a better picture of Unknown Female DNA #1.

That's cancels out enough reasonable doubt for me. Now there's just tracking her down.

fear?? noooooo! hah i'm a lamb. [Image: 16_10_10.gif]

the fact is, whether anyone disagrees, it is the STATE OF THE LAW. if someone dies during the commission of a felony, they, the felons, are guilty of murder.
say someone is kidnapped...a felony. they didn't intend to kill them but the victim died for some reason. it's MURDER.
same if it's a robbery, whatever. oops, didn't mean for them to die!

Unless you are Cameo Pettaway.

Good. I think he lied when he gave went down to the police station and
gave an alibi for AG. Tiffany says he was doing homework. He said he
was doing homework. Matt "paperchasin" Yockey, said they were
together at his house. Bullshit. Wonder what they are covering up...

Those conversations along with the DNA on the cigarettes were enough to say that both these guys were at the scene of the crime. DNA also says there were 2 others that were probably there, so does this mean that Cam and Sam were the ones that actually did the killing?, no it does not but as Lady Cop said before, everyone that was there, is equally guilty so that would not matter.

I love, respect, and fear LC, but I humbly disagree in this instance. I think there can be degrees of guilt. Say for instance they came along with robbery in mind, then the other aholes with them decided to off the kids, maybe when these fat asses were sharing their ciggy. Maybe they even smoked it in the garage, came back in and found the murders done, tossing the butt to the floor. Are they, in that case, just as guilty as the murderers? I don't think so. Of course, they may have been in on the murders, might have even been the brains and muscles behind them, but it can't be proven.

Sorry if im babbling... im on my phone and its kind of difficult to go back and revise

So....maybe all things being equal, all things are not equal?

I respect your thoughts on this but still disagree. While I do understand your point here, that some could have done worse than others, I still consider them all guilty just the same. If this were not the case, then why is Charles Manson still sitting in prison, when he was never at the scene of the murders that he master minded? They made a choice that night, and even if that choice was only to rob this couple and this situation got out of control, they still made that choice. I am sure that people who make a choice to drink and drive do not plan to crash and kill people when they make that choice, but they are still responsible for the outcome of that choice when they make it. And even if these people only planned to rob someone, it went too far and 2 people were killed in a horrible way, everyone involved is responsible equally for the outcome of what happened that night. And although some might have participated more directly than others in the actual killing, not a damned one stopped them or came forward and tried to turn the others in.

I LOVE God, but his fan club scares the shit out of me!!!

Long time reader of this thread, but infrequent poster here.
I just wanted to say thanks to everyone who posted the trial details on here. Especially Older Than Dirt, Mustang, Just Me, Your Other Left, Lady Cop and Night Owl.

I am not shocked that the Pettaway trial was dismissed. They only seemed to have the dna on the cig butt, a snitch who changed his tune on the stand and cell phone records showing his phone wasn't there. Personally, I think he was there, but there wasn't the extra circumstantial evidence, as there was in the Williams trial.

I do think that there were other people involved that night. Like other posters have said, I reckon there was a female involved and I hope that she will be arrested in the future (possibly on another charge) and once her dna is on the system additional charges will be filed.

Killa Cam Sighting!

I went to spend some time with my Niece and Nephew last night. He has been with the Toledo Police for 28 years. On the weekends he does an off-duty special for a Bar on the East side. He said Cam was there last Friday. He talk to him and said "You gotten a second chance now do something good with that" Cam was smiling from ear to ear and told him that he will.
He said he didn't really see that happening since he showed back up Sat. night also.

Thats too bad. I really wish he had meant it. Just compounds the whole
situation even further.
He probably has no idea how to do better the way we all think of doing
better. He will just become a better criminal and not get caught next time.

That is so disappointing. I'll probably be hated for saying this, but I could actually accept Cam walking IF he were to end up doing something powerful with his life. True, I'm asking for a lot here, but as wildflower said, it just compounds the situation further.

Again, I'm not happy that he walked, but rather that I could accept it if his life became something that changed the lives of others and prevented many crimes as a result.

To say he received a second chance is an understatement, but the statistics say he'll just go right back to what he knows.

If only...

Yes, but we also know what the stats say in regards to those that live that lifestyle. Smiley_emoticons_fies

Hello Green Ribbon, just stop by any time and have a cup of tea! we missed you!

The Associated Press picks up a lot of stories.

I agree with you, Cameo was at the scene IMO.
