What was Sam's alibi? That may help us on here.

So are we back to Destiny Madrid with the alibi? Or what?

Just like to point out that Julia Bates was not the prosecutor in the courtroom for Williams. Can't remember who they were, but Julia Bates is the Prosecutor for Lucas County.

I'm pretty sure it is an elected position. No bias there. Period. Her husband was Pettaway's Judge. Nothing appealable there for Williams, imo.

Which is what I'm waiting to read. Williams has already gotten two extensions. Hopefully the appeal will be filed and ready to read by Dec 6th.

I'm not as familiar with many of these people as you are so excuse me if I'm wrong but wasn't she imprisoned for awhile? I seem to recall there was some thought that she may have been involved in some manner maybe even as the driver. I guess it must have been nothing given they cut her loose.

Obstruction of Justice. She had Wingate as her attorney and it went to the Grand Jury and they came back with a no bill. Doesn't mean that she didn't lie, though.

Eric Yingling-He knew details that were not known to the public...only known to those that were there.
...........................
Yes, Eric seemed very believable inside of the courtroom...but let's not forget that he stated himself while on the stand that he was a lifetime criminal and theif and said that he considered himself to have excellent computer skills. I'm not convinced on his whole testimony. The graphic details Sam supposedly told him about the sound the bag made as Lisa gasped for her last breathe could have easily been made up. We may never know if in fact E.T. was ever in that house and took part in the killings along with Cam. Yingling's story would be so much more believable if either suspects DNA were found on the bodies or elsewhere in the house.
There are so many things about this case that disturb me from the very beginning. I feel that the investigation got off track and lost their focus when they got a hit on the cig butt. Imo- the real killers are in fact out there walking the streets. IMO-this case would have never happened if it weren't for the Clarkes. IMO-"Maytee is the master-mind behind a robbery gone wrong". IMO-this case has Maytee written all over it and it is consuming her every thought. The evidence has actually always been there from the very beginning starting with the 9-11 calls where she "knew Johnny and Lisa were dead" because she kept calling back and even insisted on filing a missing person report on Johnny the second time she called. The Clarkes have intentionally wasted valuable time by taking detectives down empty paths with constant lies (IMO-to throw cops off). People who know the Clarkes though, are not fooled by their dramatic acting at all. This case is supposedly still active. If so, I expect their arrest to be coming.

First of all, lets put an end to the Juila Bates conspiracy theory. Julia Bates is the Lucas County Prosecuter - an elected official. All of the criminal felony cases come through her office. She supervises a team of prosecuting attorneys. You will always see her name/office come up on these cases because that is the way the system works.

Second - Do you have proof that Julia Bates was the prosecuting attorney for Eric Yingling? I tried to find it and couldn't see her name connected with his non-payment of support. Can you share the link?

The prosecutor for Yingling was Patricia C Hays

Thank you both (& everyone else) for the clarification. I also received a few emails and messages indicating the same information. The gist of this is Ms. Bates is an elected official who is overseeing the process of her office and is involved to an extent. However, she does not personally prosecute these cases; since there are a number of assistant prosecutors assigned to various criminal proceedings under her supervision. I do not see a conflict of interest in terms of her husband being a Judge, and Mrs. Bates is not directly in the courtroom trying a case in front of him. Actually, its impressive that two people can hold such high profile elected positions and be married.

This snippet is from the Toledo Blade on Yingling's testimony,"Yingling testified that Williams told him that he, Mr. Pettaway, and a third man went to the Straub home looking for heroin and cash."

The Blade never names the third man, Mock is the only place the third man was mentioned, where did Yingling dig up the name ET?

Does anyone know if the Detectives' got DNA from Johnny Clarke's father and mother? I am assuming here that both parents were swabbed since they were all over the two bodies.

There is no doubt that was probably done. The investigators should have swabbed all relatives and those assosicated with the case. Even as the investigation progresses, swabs should be taken of any persons of interest. It is standard practice in most felony investigations.
