Oh I know there are more. We caught one (well not we, my husband) this weekend. We live right by a woods and they always find their way in. I freak out and my son always says "mom it's just a mouse, why are you so scared??". I DON'T KNOW!

I thought I had one mouse, but it turned out to be two.

These are the worst traps in the world.

I set it correctly, waited for days and finally heard one of them go inside to get the bait, and then he got out.

Bought a couple of the old standard mouse traps and caught one of them the next day using peanut butter as bait, but felt like shit seeing him trapped and dead when I got home. So now, trying to chase the other one out with a broom whenever I hear him scurrying, but he's winning and neither of us are scared of each other any more. Feels like Tom and Jerry.

A cat would solve the mouse problem, but then what to do with the cat.

The old spring loaded snap traps work great, and are very effective. I find the Victor ones to work the best.

Poor mouse :(

Usually only see this problem in the Fall when they are trying to get in out of the cold.

I ran outside a few weeks ago & saved the life of one (for the time being). One of the cats was playing with it. It was so pitiful, it rolled over on its back & put its arms up and out like it was surrendering. I'm sorry I'm thinking about it, it's made me feel bad all over again. Wah.

We use the old standard traps and I just know not to go where they were until my husband gets home to take care of it. If I had been smart this morning I would have shut the shower curtain that way when I get home tonight if I have to use the bathroom I won't be scared to go in and find the dead mouse.

We have a few cats outside (neighbors pets) and I would think that'd help but it doesn't seem to. Good for nothing cats!

This is my experience too; they seriously can't build a better mousetrap.

Wish there was one that would trap them alive so I could just dump the little bastard somewhere outside. I've got house guests from Sunday through Wednesday and my little nemesis has gotta be gone by then, so his days are numbered, one way or another.

If he can't be chased out the door by Thursday, the snap trap it is.

Our little friend was still alive when my husband got home from work. He had eaten all the peanut butter off the trap and the thing never went off. Luckily, he took care of it before I got home. Our tub got a good bleach soaking!

I know why; she had a seriously disturbing and rapidly escalating oral fetish. No mouse mousse for this old lady.

That fly-swallower was even weirder than the child-abusing shoe-dweller, but not as weird as the feces-eating lady hoarder. Proof that truth is stranger than fiction.

Ah, glad you didn't have to witness it.

If I end up having to trap mine, hope it happens when I'm downstairs or out of the house. Don't wanna hear it.
