YOU'RE BEING WATCHED
#1

I can't recall if I heard this or read it - in regards to the pix of the bombers it was said "thank god for all the cameras, we should be like the Brits with cameras on every street corner in America. If we had them crime would take a nose dive."

That comment really bothered me. I think the gov. wants to be stuck up my ass :(

It's good in the fact that it helps LEO's. but then again, I don't want to be watched all the time. It's a slippery slope.

CCTV systems are important surveillance devices. For sometime now, there have been several debates over how many CCTV cameras are there in Britain. This debate has been conducted in local papers, on TV, Radio and even over the internet. However, it can be said that no definite number has been reached because different people have always come up with various reports.

In June 2008, former shadow Home secretary, David Davis revealed that there were 4.2 Million CCTV cameras in the UK. However, in March 2011, DCC Gerrard who is also the lead on CCTV matters for the Association of Chief Police Officers came up to challenge this by stating that there are only 1.85 million CCTV cameras in Britain and not 4.2 million.

So the answer to How many CCTV Cameras are there in Britain is a little hard to provide – as there is no government body to collect the information.

In public places, it doesn't bother me how many cameras are running. It's great when they are used successfully to get dangerous assholes off the street, like in Boston. Probably pretty good deterrents to crime in some cases as well.

Just stay completely out of my private space and my private communications. That's where I'd have a problem with being taped. But public, meh.

I'm with you HotD. I don't want a camera in my backyard, but, as you said, if it's a public setting, why not?

I've got nothing to hide. Doesn't affect me.

Too late. They could read a return address on an envelope you take from your mailbox if they wanted to (via satellite).

My dad used to be a mucky muck in the defense industry and he told me that years ago. I'm sure the technology today is significantly better. Hell, I could look in your backyard using Google Earth.

I see you nude sunbathing and jerking off, MS!!

When I was 12 my older brother told me the way to masturbate was with my feet.

So, I've been doing it that way ever since.

That'll be a pretty picture for anyone who wants to spy on me.

Would never want to listen into anyone's personal life, but if I HAD to as a job or something, yours would probably be one of the better assignments. Bet there'd be some good laughs and SCs.

You're an absolute doll. And I am not just saying that because of your hat collection. That's what I am here for, to entertain the troops.

In this country we let the criminals go after they're caught.

Getting my murder on tape is good for nothing but everyone's entertainment.

They don't have a right to be spying on people but no one is speaking up so it's coming.
