I don't see how calling a friend out because they didn't invite you on to a "special page" is necessarily admirable or role-model behavior. I'd probably think it was a dramatic overreaction and wouldn't want to deal with it either (and I'm far from highfalutin). Anyway, hope it all works out.

Unfriending . I'm going to find a way to work that into the conversation just for the reactions.

Aussie, maybe you embarrassed her when you told her you knew about the secret, special page (Jesus Christ) and now it's just easier to not have to face you so she unfriended you. Hahaha. Not laughing at you. I hope to God I get this out of my system soon.

I am laughing at you, aussie.
"Well, first, she friended my sister and I didn't think that was a betrayal even though my sister thought that I might see it as such and that there might be underlying sinister motives. So, I gave my sister permission to accept her invitation of Facebook friendship. Then, I discovered that she had a separate Facebook page, which she didn't invite me to join. Of course, I let her have it because THAT is surely a betrayal and I will not be ignored! Oddly, she "unfriended" me thereafter. Now, even though she's aware of my new bench-top dishwasher, there can only be one reason for the unfriending -- she doesn't think I'm of a high enough social status for her!! And, I don't care about social status and don't associate with people who do, though I've been friends with this woman for over 30 years and I'm losing sleep over the whole ordeal." C'mon -- that's some funny dramatic bullshit.

It's a freakshow.

I don't know why you don't just ask her what the deal is Aussie.

I'd like to see Aussie toughen up a little. Aussie, you said you have a 30 yr. friendship with this person, I'm sorry to be the one to tell you this but that friendship is a crock of shit & completely worthless. If she didn't have the balls (or you can call it consideration) to come to you and discuss what her issue is then there was nothing there in regards to "friendship". It's that simple.

That's true, its a slam dunk. But I did expose her and she didn't like it, she is not my friend and I didn't realise it. That's fine, but for God's sake just own it. Stupid cow is going to fall flat on her face, I think she is all about being married and being part of the BBQ set. Her husband wrote on her 'other' FB account, Happy Birthday, still looking good at 49. WTF???????

No one said you did anything wrong Aussie. But you are clearly upset that this girl unfriended you. Why not be an adult and ask her why?

I have a long time friend that did the same thing to me. She just stopped talking to me for no reason, I didn't do anything to her that I'm aware of. I have more money than her so I don't think it has anything to do with my social status, I just chalk it up to her being a fucking weirdo.
I don't have a FB, but she unfriended my husband on his FB so I sent her another friend request which she accepted, but it's not the "special page". She has all her pictures and friends blocked so I can't see them.

That unfriending bs sounds like something 9 yr. old girls do not grown women.

I think the point is Duch, is that it's long term people that you have known or thought you knew for decades, turns out, you don't shit about them. It's horrible.

It's stupid. Debbie blocked me on FB two years ago when I outed her lying about making a special dinner for Matt. I didn't even mean too. I innocently asked a question and bam. Blocked. I inadvertently exposed her fabulous fake FB life. And then the accusations about me stealing her kids money started. Meh, whatever. Personally I think that anyone that fills their wall with how fabulous their life is lying.
I don't put anything too personal on FB. I am part of a private group on there of close friends that I do share personal stuff with. Open FB is not the place for personal drama.

oh but it's ok for you to talk about Debbie.
So you outed her deceit innocently, I outed my friend, or my fake friend was outed and I realised it and verbalised it. I want her to wake up to herself and realise what she has done. I think she is having problems with her marriage. I hope for her sake they are not, because they will turn on her if so, the women in that family that is. |
