Can you do this easily
#1
I'm able to sit down with no problem, but standing back up was a bit challenging. I had to concentrate on not using my hands or knees because it seems like such an unnatural movement and then once I was able to push myself up I lost my balance and almost fell into the coffee table. That could also be because I was drunk at the time. I haven't tried it yet this morning.

Yep those coffee tables just come out of nowhere! Try the exercise again like you said this morning, before downing a six pack. hah

(Oh yeah, I can do that pretty easily when sober)

No, I can't do that without stabilizing myself or I run the risk of breaking my face.

I'm going to try it in my bedroom where there's carpet and no coffee tables close by. I am...concerned about this. hah

I still can't do that stupid tree pose for any length of time without tipping over. It's freaking frustrating!

ETA: I'm even doing better on the tree pose this morning. It's AMAZING what you can do sober! Actually, the key to that stupid pose is relaxing the one leg you're standing on; I think that's where I was screwing up. That and the wine.

Same for me. I'm an uncoordinated klutz drunk or sober.

I didn't even try, all I did was look at the pose and know.

I tried the tree pose and I can do that no problem. I still can't get up from the sitting crossed leg position, however, and I'm sober as a judge right now. I actually did it better last night drunk, at least I got myself off the ground.

My daughter did it no problem, but she's 5'2 and 80 lbs. soaking wet. My son was not able to do it at all and he'svery athletic. But he's also 6'4, 180 lbs. and all his height is in his legs. I think that test is bullshit.

Maybe you need short, stubby legs like the woman in the diagram to do it properly. My height is in my legs also.

Hey there!!

I suppose there could be some truth to tha. I have short legs; my height comes from my weird long torso I think.

I only did it once. It was easy but I sort of plunked on my ass. I thought getting up would be the hard part but no. My landing could probably use a little work though, heh-heh.

User, I think you could do anything you tried. From what I remember you have the most athletic body of anyone in Mock. (And a great way with words)

I used to be able to do that rising thing pretty easily, but I have genetically powerful legs and big ol feet. Solid lifting power. Used to win me money back in high school. But I jacked my lower back up in a car accident and haven't really tried doing it since then. It's amazing how much that one little part of your body affects when it isn't working right.

I haven't tried the OP move because when it comes to exercises, I lack determination and sense of achievement. Plus, I've been burned by "can you do this?" games before.

BUT, I am still a master at a couple of tricky exercises that I learned in my youth.

^ That's one of my best moves. I learned it in pre-school tumbling class and can still make it look easy today. 55

They say the somersault is one of the first ones to go, because your spine gets stiffer with age.

I couldn't resist checking earlier. I can still go from cross legged to standing pretty easily still, no arms or support
. Guess I am not quite as broke down as I thought.

It's always good to make an effort at being self-sufficient and to pursue stretch goals, Clang.

In this case however, unless you've got an extremely long cock and a very elongated butthole, there's no shame in throwing in the towel. Take the lazy needy way out -- assume the position and let somebody else do the sucking and licking parts for you. Smiley_emoticons_smile

It's really bothering me that I can't get up from that position. It's not like I'm completely out of shape and weak, I can squat 80 lbs. and touch the ground with my butt and come back up. But when I'm trying to get up from that cross legged position it's like my mind isn't relaying to my body how to do it.
