If he does, then my thought that the average American borders on brain dead will be proven true and not simply a snarky thought on my part.

Hmmm . . .

A choice between an experienced liar versus an ordinary liar.

Interesting.

Blindgreed's supposed "detailed" tax cut was a great pile of horse shit when carefully read, as I'm sure most here didn't due to its tl;dr status. The cuts proposed for the poor and working class were ridiculous empty promises no one would be able to sustain, certainly not a country like ourswith a military-minded ruling class. And the reams of puffers on "closing certain loopholes" for corporations was glaringly vague in exactly which loopholes would actually be cut, or in detailing who would make up the trillions in lost revenue from what appear to be massive tax cuts for every single person.
So basically a great bullshit story by a prime bullshit artist.
Thank god I am oblivious to the opinions of others while caught in the blinding splendor of my own cleverness.

I don't believe that was meant to be represented (and I know I didn't say it was detailed) as a finished product dono. More like a tax reform concept. Candidates aren't required to submit a complete and finished product. What DJ provided is far more in depth than anything anyone else has submitted to date which is basically nothing.

If you have an hour, we could discuss the merits of Trump's tax plan over some genuine Trump steaks and then take a tour of Trump University. That would leave us approximately 59 extra minutes to play a game of Scrabble or something.

Trump's tax plan isn't at the top of my list either. Here is a good key points summary of the tax plan proposals submitted by each of the candidates: http://taxfoundation.org/comparing-2016-...-proposals

Mr. Greed,

I couldn't get quote button to work, so re your post above in reply to my brilliant comment, I would say this.
I didn't expect you to get anything I wrote, either so guess we are even steven.....

You will note in your report re Donald's tax plan, last paragraph, you refer to closing loop
holes, etc., but it is just that, a statement about loopholes....how is he going to do that without making himself less rich? Donald talks the talk, but he will never walk the walk or compromise his own wealth/greed........never.......

You like to remind me that Hillary is such a liar...If I had the time, I would go through all of Donald's speeches, lectures, attacks, etc. and point out the obvious lies. He flip flops his answers several times in one minute so it is difficult to keep track of his lies, but they will always outnumber Hillary's alleged untruths.....Thus, I think it takes a lot of audacity to even compare the two....Speaking of liars, I will throw in for free, that Ted Cruz is also a big, fat liar......

If you watch the debates, you will note that the Democratic candidates go into detail about their plans and platforms....Not so with the other side......We have a general idea....Cruz......"we will get rid of the IRS." Geez, hope that was Cruz who said that.
Then, Donald with his mile high wall which Mexico will pay for......golly, I am really impressed with their intelligence and demeanor during a given debate. biting sarcasm.......sigh!

I would like to add to Hair's comment re Trump's steaks, his "University," and I think there was wine involved, too.
Why don't you research, Mr. Greed, some of the consumers who were conned by Trump the Chump.

Sorry for double post, but I get so irate sometimes.......

Mark my words, something will come out about Trump which will dislodge him from the nomination for the Presidency. Either that or he will be in jail for alleged tax fraud.....the IRS says he can release his tax records even though he is being audited, but Donald says he cannot......do you wonder why, maybe, he doesn't want to release his tax record to the public...

All of which I could easily point my finger at and call bullshit. It's ALL smoke up the ass to get votes right now. But it does make for interesting conversation. It's pretty much close enough to call it now. Trump vs. Clinton. One is a professional lying politician. The other aspires to be a professional lying politician.

Not really. He's a wealthy man who's been a tax payer for sometime. Why won't Hilary release those emails?

The Democratic debate last night was held in Florida, where the primaries will be held next week. The broadcast was English/Spanish.

I thought the Univision moderators were tough as nails; None of them would let Clinton or Sanders avoid answering a question directly.

Jorge Ramos asked Clinton point blank if she would drop out of the race if she gets indicted over her use of a private email server. She was taken aback, it seemed, and said she wasn't gonna answer that question because it was ridiculous and it was never gonna happen.

The focus was mostly on immigration. Ramos asked both candidates if they would firmly commit to not deporting children who are in the US illegally. Both of them did, which surprised me a bit. That's much further than Obama's current policy.

Also, both Clinton and Sanders committed to a path to citizenship for those undocumented immigrants already in the country (except those with criminal records, who would be immediately deported). Both have supported adding fencing where needed to adequately patrol the borders, and adding border patrol agents. Both also mocked the yuge, great, beautiful wall that Trump claims will be built and paid for by Mexico.

Here are the highlights of the full debate, which contained several non-immigration points of contention.

HOTD Edit: More cross-topic debate highlights in video below.

This statement by Clinton I consider false, because that's not what she voted on during the deluge of immigrants from Honduras. I think Bern's was an honest answer though.

I want to rescind my comment stating anyone who supports Donald is brain dead. I know there are those who support him simply because he's shakin' up the GOP and think this is exactly what was needed in order to do that. To those people I apologize. I was wrong. To all the others, I see you in his audience. You're as stupid as you look.

It always astounds me when people make the argument that, for arguably the most important job in the western world, it should in any way be preferable to select the person least qualified to actually do the job. In Trump you have a reactionary blowhard who couldn't even let a middle-school level joke about his penis size slip by without defending his alleged manhood...on television, during a job interview for fucking president.

Meanwhile, Hillary Clinton has been a direct target and punching bag of neoconservative political machine for literally three decades, and not only has walked away smiling, there's barely a scratch on her. This is the cumulative effort of literally hundreds and thousands of man-hours spent on trying to find SOME dirt on her, ANY dirt on her, and the deployment of every form of propaganda known to man in order to drag her name down. Movies, books, entire decades full of reactionary talk radio and tv. And the end result? Not a goddamn thing. This tough old broad takes on everything from congressional hearings to conservative hatemongers to vicious rumors about hers and her husband's relative sex lives, and doesn't even blink.

Donald Trump? He couldn't even stand up to Megyn Kelley, AND SHE'S ON HIS TEAM.

When I vote for the toughest job on the planet, I want the toughest man on the planet to do it. And in this case, it's a woman.

Hillary Clinton released all of her emails long ago.

If you want to know why she won't release the transcripts of her paid private speeches to Wall Street executives, she essentially says "why should I, unless everyone in both parties does the same?" Bernie is using her refusal to imply that she panders to Wall Street, that the transcripts of her speeches will validate his implication, and that the money donated to her by Wall Street groups will influence her policies. She denies it.

Hillary doesn't deny past 'nay' votes on immigration bills which contained conditions she didn't support. And, she has in fact sponsored pro-Dreamer legislation, as she claims.

The only way her pledge last night -- not to deport undocumented children and law-abiding adults -- can be considered a false statement is if she doesn't attempt to do what she promised if she's elected. Her statement was in response to future legislation under her direction, not past votes.

Bernie has rejected pro-immigration legislation as well, because he didn't agree with all the details. He doesn't deny it either, though he made the same pledge as Hillary last night; the sincerity behind that pledge can also only be tested if he ends up living in the White House.

Bernie has a documented history of objecting to immigrant workers because he believed they displaced American workers and suppressed American wages (although he has also fought against abuse of immigrant workers by employers).

I totally agree with the above ^^^^^^^^comments! I believe I have called her a tough ole' cookie.....she has fought the fight and has had to prove herself over and over simply because she is a woman. Obama has been disrespected for his race (yes, I know some of you have other reasons), and Hillary, for her gender (and no, I don't want to hear all of your bullshit reasons why you hate her) We have come a long way, but don't think we will ever see true equality in my lifetime.

I would hope that my 2 granddaughters will someday receive the same pay as their male counterparts in the same job (and to grandchild expected in Sep).

You go, Hillary! I would vote for you even if your weren't a woman...hah She is simply the person to do the job...

Hair,

Thanks for posting information and video of debate last evening between Bernie & Hillary. I missed most of it so that was appreciated....although CNN did a repeat at 10:00 p.m. my time. You pulled out some major stuff they talked about last evening.....Although, debate got a little heated, I still think these two could work together for a common goal.....

Honestly, I don't know where you find the time to, not only take the info and post it here, but analyze it, too.
You organize thoughts, ideas, etc. very well.......so thank you again......

Key Republican Debate Tonight

The debate starts at 8:30pm Eastern time, 5:30pm Pacific time on CNN and CNN.com.

This one will take place in Miami, Florida ahead of next week's primaries there.

March 15th is when Republicans in strategically crucial swing states like Florida and Ohio will decide who they’d like to see nominated.

Florida is a winner-take-all state for the Republicans, no delegates available to the runners up, no matter how many votes they get. Rubio really needs to win Florida, his home state, to remain viable (in my opinion).

Kasich really needs to win his home state of Ohio too, also winner-take-all. I hope he does very well at tonight's debate and wins Ohio next week. He did well in Michigan, which gave him a little boost. Right now, polls show him pretty much tied with Trump for the lead in Ohio.

I thought he handled that rather well and he didn't say anything inappropriate,. What would you say if Rubio was flinging dick jokes at you?
