THE TRUMP PRESIDENCY
#1

*ahem* It's the eve of it. It's here. Yes, it is.

What are your expectations of it?

Do you feel any trepidation?

I know I've sometimes been a real cunt about him. I'd say I can't help myself, but of course that's not true, I have a ton of self control and I fear losing it.

My expectation is that he conduct himself with the dignity & respect that office deserves. I don't think that's asking too much.

I don't know what to expect except for a lot of tweeting; Trump's a wild card to me.

He's made so many claims that he later retracted or blamed on media bias, it's hard to predict where he's headed. He also disregards expert opinions (including those of experts in his own circle) and status quo frequently, which makes him more unpredictable.

But, I'm hoping for the best. If he can keep the economy moving in the right direction, keep good and helpful regulations while cutting out fat, avoid destabilizing national and global security, and equally respect the constitutional rights and human rights of American citizens and immigrants (while tossing out criminally violent illegal residents).........maybe I'll vote for him in 2020 if he runs again.

If he fucks everything up, makes a mockery of the presidency, and/or turns the White House into the fake news/conspiracy theory capital of the world..........hopefully, we'll all learn from it and vote for someone better when Trump's time is up.

I'm hoping the whole event occurs and ends without incident!

I also hope as HotD that he changes for the better, and becomes/acts more mature!

I have only a few words to say and will not comment further. I have a new puppy and it is like taking care of a child....she can't stay out of trouble....I am chasing her throughout house and she hides from me by going under the bed....haha...she only weighs 1.5 lbs, but I adore her...

Here goes....I strongly believe that Donald Trump suffers from several personality disorders as outlined in DSM for Psychiatric blah blah .......top of the list would be narcissistic personality along with pathological lying and symptoms of other assorted illnesses....Of course, I wish he could do great things for this country, but I don't think he can IMO because of his mental health issues.....I pray that I am wrong and you all can berate me and call me every name in the book if he turns out to be a rational, non vindictive leader who is really interested in helping the citizens of this country have a better and safer life. We shall see...A recent poll (I saw it on CNN) says that 30% of population now approves DT for President...quite a drop since the "election."

In closing, I am hoping we can all thrive under the leadership of DT, but I will never back down on my core beliefs which don't align with Fuckface's values.

Hi Aussie,
I don't know if a little pooping/peeing furball should be in this Trump thread....but...
The little darlin' is 11 weeks old, toy poodle, cream with apricot markings..only kind of dog due to my allergies to dog dander.....and I will be able to lift her when she is full grown for clean ups on her butt between groomings. Think she will be 6-7 lbs.......She is chewing on everything and has barked for the first time (only have had her 3 days). She saw her reflection in mirror and she won't stop barking.....my hands are full but I love it.

ABC actually did some decent reporting on the inauguration. I didn't watch all of it but they seemed to be caught up in the moment. Quite a bit of jubilation in Washington and I hope all the best for the new President and his family.

I don't feel much in the way of trepidation and I truly hope it goes off without a hitch or incident.
There will probably be some minor skirmishes that will not end well for the protesters.
Its past time to put all that BS away and get on with the ruling of our country and stop all the shit talking

It looks like it will be a nice day in Washington. Trump is having tea with the Obama family and soon they will climb the steps and the power will change hands. Everyone looks happy as the moment draws near. A large crowd of supporters are standing and waiting as things get underway.

Street crowds are sparse & the Metro looks like it does on weekends.

Not half as many protesters as the media blabbed about either.

On a side note:

Here in this tiny town in remote northwestern Kansas, she will be the first woman inducted into a museum that most Americans have never heard of, except for the people who live here and those eccentric few who travel the back roads of the country in search of extremely odd things.

About a half-hour before Donald Trump takes the oath of office to become the nation’s 45th president, Clinton, his vanquished opponent, will have her picture unveiled at the They Also Ran Gallery — or as many people refer to it, the Museum of Presidential Losers. She will be the first woman inducted into the museum, which honors those who tried but failed to win the presidency.

You should be me at least for today. I remember how I felt 8 yrs ago today and it sucked. I would always pick a happy day over a shitty one.

Good luck comrade.
