KILL 'EM, EAT 'EM OR BOTH?

Do you fish? If so, is catching a fish just the by-product of relaxing or do you do it because you want to eat 'em?

Sally, what's the best fish you ever ate? Feel free to jump in, Mockers.

Yes.

Both, to relax, and also eat the one's I like. White Fish, Blue's, Flounder, Bass. Anything other then those, I release back to their home.

Pan fried trout that I ate at a restaurant in Durango Colorado where they fileted it at the table.

I've never had trout again that tasted so good. The few other times I had it, it was really fishy.

Walleye and Perch taste similar and are very, very good.

White, flaky and not very fishy tasting.

I had broiled halibut in Maine eons ago and that was about as good as it gets.

Also I had mackerel on a sashimi platter once and it was so clean and pure tasting. It was better than the tuna, salmon and whatever else they had on there. And mackerel is not normally a fish I like.

What?!!!

Then again, it has been awhile since I ate cod. I'm more into sushi, clams, and oysters nowadays anyway.

I've never been to a clambake. I'm sure they'll have corn on the cob. Mmmm. Makes my mouth drooly thinkin' about fresh corn. Clams too. I'm hungry!

Have you ever been to a pig roast?

Yes. At my old Church in Hoosick Falls. It was very tasty. Cracklins are the best part...they're like crack. Worst part was this old bitter bitty who was complaining that me and my brother were eating too much of the pig.

I say it every year but I'm hoping to go to the Troy Pig Out for real this year.

f

Yep, many years ago, at a resort in Jamaica!

They had a deep pit in the ground by the pool, and they put in a like a 500 lb whole pig (apple stuffed in mouth) in there early in the morning. Covered it with a ton of some kind of big green leaves, poured some water mixed with herbs over it, and roasted and basted that sucker all day long until the late evening luau.
The roasted slab of pig I got was butter soft, and had the most delicious taste that was never ever duplicated anywhere else!

(Things one remembers)

I'm at Disney world. Again. It's not that I'm in love with Mickey mouse or anything, but we live close by and I know all the secrets to actually have fun here which does not include waiting in the sweltering heat in 90 minute lines. Tonight is the magic hour at epcot where hotel guests get to stay an extra hour. I will take my daughter on all the rides in a matter of 40 minutes while my husband waits at the tequila bar in Mexico. And then we will watch the fireworks and back at the hotel for sushi and karaoke. Tommorrow hanging at the pool having drinks and than to the scandanavian buffet.

Bullshit. You love the Magic Kingdom. You can spend entire days getting nicely tuned in, your daughter plays happily with all they have to offer aaaand someone else cooks for y'all.
