The coon went over the top of the high rise at about 3:00 AM. They managed to successfully use a live trap and hopefully he goes to the proper people who will know where to safely release him. I am so relieved. Whew.

One of the scariest things I have ever seen was a Raccoon in full fledged rabies, snarling at everything and charging at anything that moved even its tail. All mangy scrawny but still full of piss and vinegar.
He ain't heavy, he's my brother.

I was sitting on my porch steps one night smoking a cigarette and i saw something coming around the corner thinking it was the stray cat i was feeding. It was a big fat raccoon and it sniffed my foot. Scared the shit out of me. I know he didnt have rabies, he was a big healthy sucker and there were three more in the neighbors yard.

I once found out that a mama 'coon and her babies were in a tree hole in the horse cemetery. I wanted pix! I grabbed my camera and was headed out and when I told Cowboy what I was going to do he said like hell you are, or words to that affect. He went on to explain what her demeanor would be when she saw me standing outside their home and she had babies inside.

I havent seen any racoons here since, it was the cat food that i was leaving out that was attracting them. Thats the reason i trapped the stray cat and took him to the vet for vaccines, i didnt want him to get rabies if he was hanging around here. Little did i know that he'd die under the crawl space of my house the next day.

They don't call those cat treats party mix for nothing. I had every damn raccoon, stray cat and possum over here from miles.

I love the wildlife here on the farm and every time I see something I feel like it's a gift. The doe have begun to have their fawns, I haven't seen any yet but the guy cutting the fields told me that he saw a fawn for the second time in the field that's closest to my house so now I leave my camera laying around. The weirdest was seeing a peacock on two different occasions, it was so cool.

Oh I've been coon hunting many times, just never had one come up to me before. I usually shoot them from a distance with my bow and arrow and sell them on MLK Blvd. to the colored folks. I've never eaten them before, but the black people say they're delicious.

People have been finding black widow spiders in my state. I didn't think they lived here and it is fucking with my head so bad. My skin is crawling. I'd rather cuddle a rat snake than to ever come across one of them. Fucking fucking fuck spiders. Oh gawds.

Those are pretty harmless compared to a Brown Recluse.

We were at the boardwalk which is a fun place to have a couple of beers and a burger and watch all the weirdos walk by and she begged me to go on it. I thought it was a bad idea, but we went on it anyway. Two guys manually had to push it to get it started. I can't believe it passed inspection and I can't believe I was so stupid to go on it.
