ASK SALLY ANYTHING

Sally, I thought you were at the Magic Kingdom again. I have friends going down in August. I tried to tell them what August in Florida is like but noooo, they fail to understand. I believe they think I'm exaggerating.

How is September in Florida?

I was supposed to go to Florida this past week but plans got cancelled and now we are trying for September. I heard its hurricane season in September is that true?

It's hot as fuck and it rains almost every afternoon which only serves to make things steamier. The humidity is off the charts, but that's only my experience, others may think differently. When I go, I usually go in November.

Hurricane season runs from June 1 through November 30, still pretty warm but not nearly as insufferable as going in the summer or early fall.

Damn. Wish I had a choice. But the friends inviting me down want me to come in September. And they're paying for everything but the plane ticket, so who am I to complain?

I am soooo lit. I have a fire going in my leetle bucket and am mixing another drink next to the poo. Vodka, 7-up and some pineapple/ cranberry juice. Faggy but appropriate.

I might call it the "Hong Kong Flue" just because I stuck a cherry and a swizzler in it. What did you call your little five finger friend?

I finally used my 50.00 gift card I got for Christmas at the liquor store. I was pissed I couldn't get scratch tickets with it. Usually I don't get tickets or even buy booze but it was free.

I've been buying Powerball & Megamillion tix every week. I should probably take time to check them all, I could be filthy rich and not even know it.

I still have a $50 gift card for Dunkin' Donuts I got last FD, that I may eventually use.

What's in the rub you use for ribs sal? I have all kinds of spices and can probably throw something similar together.

I got the roses, the cacti, and the barbecue cleaned up yesterday. And, I got a bunch of ribs which my friend loves but aren't something I normally cook (and I can't have the barbecue sauce I bought for him).

I'm kinda bummed -- turns out my friend has to work tonight. :( The neighbors are a fun couple and they're coming over for a bit though. I'll serve barbecue sauce on the side for them.
