BITCHFEST -- THE EXTREMISTS ON THE FAR LEFT AND FAR RIGHT

I am so so stupid with Huntsman spiders. They chase you, especially if they know you are onto them. I don't want to hurt them but I don't want them on my ceiling, in my house, freaking me out. None of that shit. And yes, I can't help it, I do scream.

Yes, they run along the ceiling following you like they are going to jump on you. That's why I fucking scream my head off, it's friggin scary.

They do get a bit aggressive in the heat or when they get a bit bigger. That is when I redistribute Harry outside. When it is cold and when they are not that big they just teleport. One day they will be in one spot and the next time you go past they are motionless in another and so on. It is funny. My daughter said that the other day "I swear Harry teleports".

If this is the whole story, it's a case of extreme political correctness and total bullshit, in my opinion.

But companies are free to withdraw their sponsorships if doing so is within the terms and agreements of any contractual agreements.  I support business's rights to take such action, even when I disagree with the action itself (as in this case).

Lilly Diabetes has cancelled its sponsorship of new NASCAR driver Conor Daly, 26, after it resurfaced that his father Derek (a former driver and a racing analyst) had used the word 'nigger' in an interview before Conor was even born.

Derek Daly claims that he used the word not knowing it had a different meaning in the U.S. vs. his home country Ireland.  I don't know it that's true or not and don't really care that he was fired.

I personally hate the word and never use it in any context. But, it seems insane to me that anyone would want to punish his son for what he said decades ago.

Conor Daly seems to be handling it well though.  'Lilly Diabetes has been a big part of my career and I'm very thankful,' Conor wrote.

Proud Boys

Members of the far-right, pro-Trump group called the Proud Boys reportedly attacked protesters on Friday night in New York City after the group's founder, Gavin McInnes (center), spoke at a nearby Republican club.

In a statement, the NYPD said three people were arrested after an assault on Manhattan's Upper East Side near the Metropolitan Republican Club. The NYPD said they were monitoring the event and the protests outside were "peaceful" when they observed an assault happening.

The NYPD said it is reviewing additional video and evidence from the scene to determine if additional crimes were committed.

On McInnes' Instagram page, he said he would be re-enacting Otoya Yamaguchi's assassination of the head of the Japanese Socialist Party using a samurai sword at the event.

Ahead of Friday's event, anarchist symbols were graffitied on the door of the headquarters of the New York State Republican party, locks were glued shut and a keypad entrance system was damaged. A note was left at the scene as well before alleged vandals ran away.

"Tonight, we put the Republican Party on notice, in defiance to the policy of mass misery they have championed," the message reads. It goes on to claim the U.S. government has created "concentration camps around the country for Latino people" and "shamelessly murders black people."

The note also calls Democrats "spineless partners-in-crime" of the Republicans. "Our attack is merely a beginning. We are not passive, we are not civil, and we will not apologize," the message read. (THAT sounds like the work of Antifa, to me.)

In line with the Republicans' current 'violent liberal mobs' rhetoric, New York Republican Party Chairman Ed Cox described the vandalism as "an act of political violence" on Friday ahead of the event. Cox, unsurprisingly, has not yet commented on the assaults committed by the Proud Boys at Friday night's protest.

FOX News showed footage of sword-bearing McInnes and the Proud Boys arriving at the protest site and falsely claimed that they were members of Antifa.

Glueing locks shut = political violence.

"re-enacting Otoya Yamaguchi's assassination of the head of the Japanese Socialist Party using a samurai sword at the event." = perfectly normal, nothing to see here, move along.

Patriot Prayer Group vs. Antifa

[Image: video-antifa-patriot-prayer-portland-fight-1024x538.jpg]
I wish this shit would just stop.  Fucking idiots all.

A demonstration billed as a march for "law and order" in the streets of Portland descended into chaos as rival political factions broke into bloody brawls downtown Saturday night.

Members of the right-wing group Patriot Prayer and their black-clad adversaries, known as antifa, used bear spray, bare fists, hard knuckle gloves and batons to thrash each other outside Kelly's Olympian, a popular bar on Southwest Washington Street.  Some of the brawlers also packed knives and firearms.

The melee, which lasted more than a minute, ended when riot cops rushed in and fired pepper balls at the street fighters.

Police said they made no arrests Saturday night, but will continue to investigate. The wild scene unfolded amid mounting tensions among both groups, fueled in part by a pair of national news stories.

A march in Portland against police brutality last week drew headlines after law enforcement's hands-off approach to the event was blamed for an encounter between protesters and an elderly driver, which outraged many, including Patriot Prayer leader Joey Gibson and his supporters.

Antifa can't appreciate people ARE allowed differing views and that does NOT mean those people should be assaulted. The Left has given a lot of cover to Antifa

Follow-up to Post #146 -- Proud Boys

Good to read that 6 members of the far-right idiots known as the Proud Boys have been identified and arrested after a violent brawl on the streets of Manhattan.

The 'Boys' have been been charged with gang assault, assault, riot and criminal possession of a weapon.

Kewel tat bro.

The NYPD said it had been seeking the arrest of up to nine Proud Boys in connection to the brawl after their leader McInnes' speech at the Metropolitan Republican Club on Oct. 12.

The Proud Boys were also part of a protest group (or 'mob', by Trump's definition) who shouted down and cornered Nancy Pelosi in Miami last week.

They called her a 'fucking communist' and a 'piece of shit' before she was rushed into the building, at which point the protesters continued screaming and pounding on the walls.

The Miami mob was organized by none other than.............Nelson Diaz, the chairman of the Republican Party in Miami-Dade County.

Diaz apologized after the incident, saying he was 'sorry that he let his emotions get the best of him'. https://www.newsweek.com/far-right-proud...an-1180106

Was she in a restaurant? With family? On a Sunday? ..........................This is what happens, Pitiful but this is the crap Maxine Waters called for recently. I personally would not go after a politician in a public place and I feel many of these things are planned. The best way to get under a politicians skin is to steal their votes. Not abusive public behavior.

As previously noted, I don't like any of it, personally.

It's free speech/expression, so I support the protesters' rights to go there. But, I wouldn't go there and don't like to see it regardless of how I feel about the targeted politicians.

And, it's completely irrelevant to me where it happens.

Screaming out personal slurs at politicians, cornering them, and pounding on the walls outside of a venue is by no means less 'mob-like' than harassing politicians and screaming at them about controversial issues while they're dining, as far as I'm concerned.

One could accurately call them 'batshit extremists' of the right wing, I guess.  But, the broader 'far right' umbrella label is accurate as well, as the Proud Boys are described in the article I linked.

Their leader, McInnes, has worked to disassociate the Proud Boys from the "alt-right" label they used to brandish after the Heather Heyer murder at the 2017 Unite the Right rally and the subsequent conviction of Proud Boy Alex Ramos for the brutal assault of DeAndre Harris at the same rally.

That 2017 rally was organized by white supremacist leader Richard Spencer, from whom McInnes has since distanced himself.  McInnes says his Proud Boys are not 'alt-right' and now brands them as 'alt-lite'.

McInnes explained that he and his Proud Boys don't share Spencer's racism.  And, the Proud Boys did not attend the 2018 Unite the Right rally organized by former Proud Boy Jason Kessler, who McInnes says he kicked out when Kessler's racist agenda became clear.
