Things are looking to get interesting real soon.

Roger Stone, who has had to revise his congressional testimony several times already, now say's he'll be taking the 5th when he faces the Senate committee again.

Manafort will quite likely die in a jail cell for lying to investigators who had offered him a plea deal for truthful cooperation.

And, former (short-lived) National Security Adviser Mike Flynn looks to have completely spilled the beans. Mueller has recommended that Flynn get no time behind bars in exchange for his truthful cooperation.

Looks to have completely spilled the beans? Pray tell on what? Out of interest who is overseeing the Mueller probe now and do you think they will be as keen to hang Flynn on a rail for "lying" to Mueller? Also which investigation has Flynn really been helping with? Mueller's investigation or Hubers/Horowitz's?
Mannafort is scummy and deserves his jail cell as much as the next Podesta.
Stone can take the fifth if he likes. It is clear his position. He has said he did not arrange for emails to be hacked nor did he have advance warning that the emails will be hacked. They can spin their wheels all they like.

Former national security adviser Michael Flynn has provided "substantial" aid in the Russia investigation and beyond — and that merits a judge's consideration at Flynn's sentencing this month, prosecutors said in court papers late Tuesday.

The government said in a memo to a federal judge that it believes sentencing for Flynn should be lenient and that even a sentence without prison time "is appropriate and warranted." Flynn pleaded guilty to lying to the FBI in late 2017 in exchange for a cooperation deal.

Prosecutors wrote that Flynn offered "firsthand information about the content and context of interactions between [Donald Trump's] transition team and Russian government officials" on two sensitive matters: a United Nations resolution about Israeli settlements and the then-outgoing Obama administration's sanctions on Russia for interfering in the 2016 presidential election.

The court doc also indicates that Flynn helped Prosecutors with "several ongoing investigations," not just the Russia inquiry.

1. There is a rumor, as yet unsubstantiated but gaining steam, that Flynn may have worn a wire in meetings with Trump and that he actually "flipped" over 18 months ago. It fits with the extremely lenient recommendations of R Mueller.

2. Taking the fifth does not extend to the surrender of documents. Stone is still screwed.

3. Trump has no allies. And this is most likely going to explode via Russia when they flat out state Trump tried to buy an election with their help. Putin is beyond our ability to truly punish and he knows it, as well as the fact that Trump will no longer be anything but a liability after January 2019. So his next plan, having successfully destroyed our standing on the world stage and isolated us as a nation, will be to mire us in chaos by revealing key elements of how they broke our elections. Not to mention some of the kompromat on Trump. The resulting mayhem will distract and occupy us for years to come and will free Putin up to continue his true goal of returning Russia to a position of power in the world and re-annexing some of what was lost starting with the Crimean peninsula.
Thank god I am oblivious to the opinions of others while caught in the blinding splendor of my own cleverness.

Who is overseeing the Russia investigation? It WAS Rosenstein but who is it now?

IF they have nothing on Flynn but perjury AND he has been giving good information to DO investigation (Huber/Horowitz), is Whittaker going to ALLOW Mueller to hurt Flynn?

If there is no collusion between Trump and Putin (and there is not), what would wearing a wire or talking to Putin do?

If Stone did not know about hacking via Wiki leaks as he has said, how does having his documents make him "screwed"

None of this seems to make sense?

One doesn't have 19 meetings with Prosecutors regarding perjury. There's something there.

"allow Mueller to hurt Flynn"  hah What the hell does that even mean?

Flynn has given Prosecutors something/s big. Bigley!

I think Flynn has committed crimes on trump's behalf.

That's because they have nothing. Its been what almost 2 years in this thing and they keep beating the bushes for bees, lay the cards on the table and get this thing wrapped up. I cannot remember any other nutty political dog chase since the Kennedy conspiracy thing. America sure loves it's drama.

The bushes are really buzzing with bees then.

Special counsel Robert Mueller’s team has indicted or gotten guilty pleas from 33 people and three companies that we know of.

That group is composed of five former Trump advisers, 26 Russian nationals, three Russian companies, one California man, and one London-based lawyer. Seven of these people (including now all five former Trump aides) have pleaded guilty.

The allegations vary, encompassing both election interference charges against overseas Russians, and various other crimes by American Trump advisers, including lying to investigators about campaign-related activity.

It looks to me like Mueller is ready to tie it all together. If there's no evidence of intentional wrong-doing by Trump or any more of his campaign members, then the report will show it. If there is evidence of intentional wrong-doing by Trump or any more of his campaign members, there will likely be more indictments in the next couple of months, followed by trials (or guilty pleas).

It's important to get it right and it's been moving at a pretty fast pace, in my opinion.

The Watergate investigation into Nixon lasted longer than 2 years. The Foster/Whitewater/Lewinsky investigation of Bill Clinton lasted 3 years. The Republican House investigated Hillary Clinton in regards to the Benghazi attacks for nearly 4 years.

According to FOX News Legal Analyst Andrew Napolitano, Jr. believes there is cause for him to be indicted for lying to Congress about the Trump Tower meeting with the Russian lawyer. Napolitano suspects Jr. is correct.

And, after seeing the Flynn court doc and sentencing recommendation memo yesterday, Napolitano said the President himself should be extremely uncomfortable as well.

I'm hoping kushner's name is on at least one of those indictments too. I'll try not to be too insufferably smug when all this goes down. Smiley_emoticons_smile
