I thought it was to late to make some but my grapes are tasting really good right now and not all shriveled. I'm going to get some cheesecloth and some pectin to make jelly Sunday. Really good stuff and it makes a good Christmas gift. I made it once and it never turned to jelly. I will add more pectin this time.
Has anyone ever made jelly? Besides MO

No, but a friend picked a great deal of my figs and made some. It was awesome. That's the closest I've come to making jelly.

Sounds good. I grew up with a concord grapevine in the back yard, that my grandpa planted. That would have been a perfect time to give it a go.
Is it a hard process?
Only thing I ever made was salsa. Turned out good. My parents made pickles a couple times. Wish I had the talent to do that.

Well..........first you grab one of the kids and give them a big bucket, then you go to the grape vine and snip a bunch of grapes and put them in as he followers you around looking for the best ones. Then you take them in and grab the other kid and set her up with 3 buckets and she separates the stems and tosses the bad ones into one bucket and the good ones into another. You take the good ones and have the first kid wash them off and put them into another bucket. Then you get the wife to take off her shoes and socks........... no you don't do that!. You mash them up into a pulp then put a white new wet handkerchief over another big bucket secure the handkerchief over the bucket with elastice and let the pulp drain over night.
The next day you boil the juice for about 10 min add the pectin, sugar a little lemon juice and boil again for 5 min take it off the heat and pull out the sterilized jars fill them up till 1/4" put the caps on then put them into boiling water (cover them a few inches above the caps and do that for 15 min, take them off let them sit in the water 5 min then take them out and let them cool,
I do 3 batches like that and get about 24 pints out of it. Later put aa bow or some other faggy thing around them and give them out saying "eat my fucking jelly bitch"

Funny.
Sounds yummy and amazing!
I bet it tastes nothing like the grape jelly you get in the store. Those never seem real, I wonder what real grape jelly tastes like.

It's some good stuff! No additives or preservatives. I'm getting big on getting that stuff out of my food chain. I just got another butcher box with good quality meat with no additives today.

The hubby gave me a birdfeeder he built that is specifically made for Orioles. There are two glass cups in it (a bit bigger than shot glasses). He said you put Grape Jelly in them. HAS to be grape, for some reason. The orioles love it. Best to be done in spring.

Okay jelly, jelly. Americans seem to call jam, jelly and jelly, jelly. Never really got that. Same with pie for pizza?

I would never have wanted to offend you. Sometimes writing things online can get lost in translation.

I know Aussie is dealing with real life right now, but can we at least speculate as to whether she really didn't mean to offend QB?

I block what Fry Guy says, because I think he may be even dumber than Lee Harvey Oswald. I just looked at his response to my post right now, the one I originally blocked, and yep, I did the right think blocking that deficit human being.

Maggot Pat Robertson wants to have a chat with you come and sit on this bench in this lovely garden and have a peaceful chat about using the word of God for dishonorable motives.
If Fry Guy left because of me, I will unblock him and take him on. It's just sometimes I have a heavy workload over here along with a toxic family and I'm not in the mood to be trolled. I have had my fair share of being trolled in here, and you have to have a thick skin to fire back.
