Me too. I have a brain worm. I heard a tiny clip very early this morning and it's been stuck in my head all day.

OK . . .

It's not like she's the first black artist to crossover to the country genre.

Tis true, but that doesn't make me any less...what's the word I'm looking for, I don't know. It gives me the same kind of feels as hearing rap Christmas carols. Help.

I absolutely get your position.  Being from Texas and wearing a Stetson "does not a country singer make".

The Rolling Stones did a shit-ton of "country" tracks.   Never heard them on any of AZ's country radio stations . . . yet they were undeniably worthy of airplay for that genre.

Or the Pointer Sisters . . . considering they were the first all black and female group, to win a Grammy for Best Country Vocal Performance in the 1970's . . . not on any country stations that I remember.

And they were the first black group (I believe) to perform at the Grand Ole Opry. (Might be wrong on that one . . . )

Is it his birthday or some other date relevant to him? I ask because one of his songs was recently stuck in my head and I only would have heard it online or on television because it was significant to him.
