This is exactly right.
I agree with RC
Who would have thought that?
But its true. I've taken some time to reflect this week on what the fuck happened.

This and that the election was probably rigged from Russia and Elon Musk.

The fact that clown will be in charge of public health is horrifying.

All governement regulations are dumb, they just hinder progress. No one needs rules. People can do what they want.

(That is pretty much what I heard today)

Less government! MOre People!

And those that don't think it's OK, will get it, too.

"COULD"  . . . not  "WILL".

I'd feel the same if they tried regulating CNN, PMSNBC, ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX and the View.

It was reported at the time that trump had called Nikki a cunt during the GOP primary.

The Biden administration took over as Covid was still a crisis and vaccine roll outs and shit were sort of top priority (and ending and reinstating and ending shut downs—whether u agreed with them or not—were just beginning). The country was a hot fucking mess and god knows how many businesses went under and people were out of work because of Covid. So…blah, blah happened and then China got hit and the supply chain fell apart and prices started rising and blah, blah more happened. The bipartisan infrastructure bill got passed somewhere in there. Anyway, I’m not an economist (my husband is tho but fuck if I want to hear him ramble about this shit for 30+ minutes) but we (as in the US) seemed to fair far better post Covid than many other countries. I don’t think Biden ignored the working/middle class I think he (and the Federal Reserve) did a decent job given the circumstances. I think he didn’t do enough about the border surge but I remember too when some companies were scrambling to fill jobs when the economy reopened and couldn’t find workers.
Harris had a plan ($6,000 tax credit, assistance for first time homebuyers, attacking price gouging blah, blah). Whether or not that would have been effective? IDK. Trump’s tariff plan and tax cuts IF he goes through with them aren’t sitting well with a lot of market and economic analysts. I guess we’ll see blah, blah….

No problem. RC will be on soon to point out how fucked up everything is and remind us that nobody has any good ideas (except him maybe although he seemingly wants to keep those a secret cuz he’s very short on the solution side).

I'll make a comprehensive list of all the things I would have done differently during Biden's term, and how much of a difference I think it would have made re the quality of life for ordinary people.

BTW, you seem to be very comfortable with a bar that's low enough that a cockroach would have a hard time walking under it. Why is that?

Well I can't wait for this list.

Please don’t!!!  hah

I’ve never said any president or party is perfect (far from it—I think both parties are horribly flawed and they’re even more so when you get to the extremes on either side (I consider Trump extreme although he’s becoming the new normal for Republicans sadly and I’d never vote for Bernie or AOC).

Rather than your critiques, I’d like to hear how you’d raise the bar across party lines (or in spite of them).

Besides which my “bar” is higher than voting for an election denying, insurrection inciting, convicted felon, blatant racist and sexist pig who goes off on crazy tangents, speaks incoherently often, demands loyalty above all else and gives everyone who disagrees with him some childish, insulting nickname because he’s losing his god damn marbles. The roach that got under the bar is/was Trump.

ALT National Parks posted this on thier FB page and I was reminded of all the "Alt" accounts that were created during that time.

People often ask, “What exactly are we resisting?” So, we decided to keep a detailed list. From 2017 to 2021, the Trump administration reversed over 100 environmental regulations, affecting climate policy, air, water, wildlife, and chemical safety.
