I've never taken a direct hit from a tornado but they have gone by and the power is other worldly. I am terrified. 

Do you have a bunker to hide in just in case? What about your gorgeous animals?

No, no bunker and my horses never like being in the barn, they have always preferred their fields and if I forced it I run the risk of them hurting themselves with their constant fricken kicking.

I got a little more than 6 inches of hair cut off this morning. I don't know why I wait so long between appointments. I haven't had hair above my boobs in a long time.

I survived air travel again and returned home today.

A young woman with a 6 month old baby took the window seat next to me (we had an empty seat between us). I was glad that god or terrorists probably wouldn’t take down the plane with that baby on board. I also spent about ¹⁄₂ of the one hour flight playing peek-a-boo with the baby cuz it was fussing which I tried to overlook since it was like a little baby Jesus in the moment.
Whatever. Got home.

Has das boot been retired?

You're a good daughter to go spend time with your mom. I would love the opportunity to do that. I can't so I talk to her in my head.

I’m wearing hiking boots now with strict orders to go back to das boot if I feel pain. I feel crunchy pain every now and then but not enough where I feel like I have to return to the big boot (thankfully). 

Today was a stretch lugging my crap on/off board the plane and through the terminal but it was okay. Definitely not ready to start running again yet but maybe in a couple more weeks I’ll be able to do more.

Well damn. When I left my mom on Saturday she thought she’d rounded a corner on her knee/mobility issues but this morning she had to call 911. Unable to breathe, severe stomach pain and BP 195/95. She just got a CT scan and my brother is with her. Waiting for more info and contemplating going back down to her.
