Yeah if my brother and his wife weren’t there I’d definitely be on my way back down. I have a sister that lives around 6 hours from her by car. I imagine she’s thinking about going down and is kind of waiting to see too…she works for a CPA and with taxes coming due, it wouldn’t be easy for her to do.
They’re doing an ultrasound on her now so hopefully answers soon.

She has to have her gallbladder removed tomorrow and possibly also has pneumonia.

Gallbladder pain is excruciating, I'd say it's right up there with giving birth. I had to have mine removed when I was 18. It's a pretty simple one day procedure, but I was 18 so I'm sure that helped with the recovery.

It’s fucking sad cuz she just felt like she rounded a corner with her latest knee injury and now this. She’s going to be both pissed and devastated.

She’s had so many injuries or issues over the last 15 years or so and beaten the odds and come back (sometimes less than before) but gawt damn, it’s gotta be exhausting. I feel so badly for her.

I'm sure she'll be fine. It was a laparoscopic surgery and I had three small incisions, I went home the next day with tylenol for a couple of days. It was also a relief to get that piece of shit out. I have not been able to drink surgary alcohol drinks since though without getting extreme pain. I think that's just some bizarre thing that happened to me and it took me a few times to put two and two together, but one Margherita will have me crying in pain.

Amen. Thanks. Me too on the pneumonia. I don’t follow everything going on with the pope but I’ve heard he’s recovering (a bit) from his double pneumonia so maybe… 

When my dad got a terminal diagnosis 18 years or so ago, he wrote a brief email to his distant family/friends that said “I have a terminal diagnosis, no reasonable treatment options. No condolences, please. I’ve had a good roll”. And he passed at home around 40 days later. I know my mom’s time is coming; just hope it’s as peaceful as can be for her. She doesn’t want to be in a hospital.

He's made a remarkable recovery given his age and how sick he was, he's now back at the Vatican. I hope your mom has a similar experience.
