The only place I put pictures is in my office and even now my kids ask why I have that stupid picture of them. Well I have to put ya'lls goofy ass pictures somewhere, the office seemed like a good place to hide them.

My daughter has suddenly become a fucking actress. I’d post a pic if I knew how.

She got a part in an indie horror film (complete with her pulling her eyeball out), another in a music video and most recently she got a bit part playing some bougie rich bitch.

We’re paying more for her to have these experiences than she’s earning but fuck, she’s having fun and about to graduate with her B.A in child and adolescent development with straight A’s through college with plans to get her master’s right after.

She’s privileged 100%.

How does one go about getting into the acting industry without any prior experience? My son got hired as a knight at the Medevil Times dinner show once. He didn't take it though because driving back and forth to Orlando wasn't worth the money, plus he has never been on a horse before lol.

@Sally, my daughter’s been spending a lot of time the last 8 months in L.A. with her newish b/f. He’s in the music industry so they spend time mingling with all sorts of people in music and film and stuff. So that’s how she’s gotten these bit appearances. She also just signed on with some (very small) agency who might get her more bit parts. It’s fine although I keep expecting her grades to drop with all the travel and time involved but so far she’s juggling everything.

She’s thinking about getting her masters at UCLA/moving down there in the fall.

A couple of years ago I heard that Quentin Tarantino was doing a remake of Rambo. My son actually looks like Rambo, like really looks like him so I told him that he should audition. He said how the fuck am I going to do that, move to LA and hunt down Quentin Tarantino. So that never happened.

My daughter never drank a lot but she did periodically binge and it bugged the shit out of her (starting around a year ago). So she stopped drinking for 60+ days and then gradually started again. Then she got wasted one night (lost her purse) and now she’s around 5 months alcohol/drug free. She doesn’t identify as an “alcoholic” or addict or anything; she just decided (for now) that alcohol and coke etc don’t serve her. 
Go figure.

She’s not going this route but I’ve also had the opinion that she’d be very good as a journalist, reporter and perhaps an anchor woman (love her or hate her, think Kaitlin Collins). I think she could do it (if it appealed to her). But she’s well balanced right now; that’s all I care about.
