- LuMPyPussy - 02-13-2009 I'm gonna go with horror. - Duchess - 02-13-2009 I'd have to say comedy, I actually like horror & thrillers/suspense movies but, I can't control my imagination & I can scare myself so bad I am frozen in fear, it's just awful...It got to the point that I would hear sounds outside & convince myself the boogyman was out there. - LuMPyPussy - 02-13-2009 You know, I LOVE horror movies and hardly ever get frightened by them but the worst dream I ever had was after watching Goodfellas. Real life violence freaks me out. - Liquid - 02-13-2009 where is "Action". Probably should change Mystery/Thriller to Action or Mystery/Action. For example the current #1 movie Taken is an Action movie, etc. Just a thought. - SyberBitch - 02-13-2009 Horror or a good comedy (notice the emphasis on good - hard to find these days) Also, I'm not into slasher films. I like good psychological or supernatural horror. - LuMPyPussy - 02-13-2009 SyberBitch Wrote:Horror or a good comedy (notice the emphasis on good - hard to find these days)Not to sound like a snob, but slasher films are beneath my notice. - SyberBitch - 02-13-2009 LuMPyPussy Wrote:Not to sound like a snob, but slasher films are beneath my notice. It's ok to be a snob among snobs. I've tried a few slasher films, and some of the OLDER classic ones are actually pretty decent, in a campy sort of way (you know, Halloween, Friday the 13th) but the newer such films are usually just poor remakes of the same, with less plot, worse production, terrible actors and too much reliance on 'gross out'. - Gogo - 02-13-2009 Belly Dancing movies - Middle Finger - 02-13-2009 Superhero movies. - OnBendedKnee - 02-13-2009 Mystery thrillers, no doubt. I do favor movies where time travel is somehow involved. It can even be sort of campy, but I love the whole idea of it. (Perhaps that's why I'm digging this season of LOST.) Now, a specific movie, I can't think of the title, but it involves a U.S. Carrier that goes back to WW2, and is just on the outside of Pearl Harbor. Jets from the carrier shot down a few Japanese airplanes as they're on their way to attack, one Japanese pilot is captured after crash landing in the ocean. I wish I could remember the name of it- came out in the earlier to mid 1980's I think. - LuMPyPussy - 02-13-2009 OnBendedKnee Wrote:Mystery thrillers, no doubt. This one? - OnBendedKnee - 02-13-2009 No, that's not it, but you gave me just enough to go on I was able to find the one that's been haunting me. (Yours is an excellent movie too though.) It's THIS ONE: And before anyone says that it can't be good, do yourself a favor and check it out. - sally - 02-13-2009 Once in a while a comedy comes along that has me in tears. I would say that is my favorite followed by horror and porn. - LuMPyPussy - 02-13-2009 OnBendedKnee Wrote:No, that's not it, but you gave me just enough to go on I was able to find the one that's been haunting me.Oh yeah, I forgot about that one! The dog jumps into the car at the end. - OnBendedKnee - 02-13-2009 sally wrote: Quote:Once in a while a comedy comes along that has me in tears. I'm a complete sucker for Hugh Grant's naughty boy act. :: - LuMPyPussy - 02-13-2009 LuMPyPussy Wrote:I had a HUGE crush on James Farentino and I've seen this move at least 4 times. ::OnBendedKnee Wrote:No, that's not it, but you gave me just enough to go on I was able to find the one that's been haunting me.Oh yeah, I forgot about that one! I've seen it that many times too (but, for different reasons. . .). - LuMPyPussy - 02-13-2009 OnBendedKnee Wrote:It's a guilty pleasure. I can't pinpoint exactly why- just a negative vive I get. Didn't much care for her in Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid either. |
