The one in jail? We broke up. He came home & I realized how much easier, how much LESS complicated, my life is without him in it. I actually gave him the choice to grow up or get out and he accused me of seeing someone else instead of facing the truth and accepting responsibilities. My heart was/is broken over it, we've been together almost 2 years and he's not a bad guy, just not what I need. In his defense, he has been attempting to make an effort towards repairing the relationship but it feels more like it's for him than for me. I'm unsure whats going to happen from this point going forward. I do love him, I just have serious doubts he's ever going to grow up and become the man I need.

Yep, I say that may be more dangerous than having a protected quicky in the back seat of the car in the bar parking lot. At least the quicky may be law-abiding.
How does someone "make an attempt at making an effort"? If the best he can do is try to try, good riddance. It's hard, but sounds like a good decision.

I doubt I'll end up disembowelled in a suitcase, he's not THAT kind of criminal. I have considered poisoning him, but figured telling him to leave is a lot easier than cleaning up that mess. It's MY house, after all, not ours - meaning my name is on the title and the deed and all the utilities. I am not taking my children and moving.
