RE: The Whatever - username - 08-08-2012 pspence: Spay and neuter your dogs and cats. Ban gas chambers in your local shelters. You CAN make a difference! Thanks for the tip. I just called a shelter and told them I was banning their gas chamber. Have a nice day. RE: The Whatever - Maggot - 08-08-2012 I'd make a great Pelican............whadeva RE: The Whatever - Maggot - 08-08-2012 (08-08-2012, 04:38 PM)username Wrote: pspence: Is today shoot your own dog day? You're mad because they lied to you? Listen, pal, they lie to everyone. They lie to the fish." No one else is guessing, so I'll take a shot. I think it's from "Falling Down" with Michael Douglas. Only seen it once years ago, so could be way off. Second guess would be "Dirty Rotten Scoundrels". RE: The Whatever - Donovan - 08-08-2012 yep. Good movie, worth a few rewatches. Lot of subtlety gets missed in the urge to root for the downtrodden everyman. Sneaky director. RE: The Whatever - Riotgear - 08-08-2012 (08-08-2012, 06:37 PM)Donovan Wrote: yep. RE: The Whatever - HairOfTheDog - 08-08-2012 I love "Fight Club". Also love "The Usual Suspects". I've seen them both several times and usually catch something that I missed in previous viewings. I'll rewatch "Falling Down"; it's OnDemand, I think. I liked it a lot, but watched it at someone else's house with a few people and drinks and breaks and such. Remember some good lines and scenes, but probably missed a lot. Here's one from a movie that I like a lot (not a blockbuster): You're fascinated by the gory details! You're mesmerized by your own fear. You revel in floods, car accidents, unstoppable diseases, you're happiest when others are in pain. That's where I come in isn't it? I'm here to lead you by the hand through the dark forest of your own hatred and anger and humiliation! RE: The Whatever - Duchess - 08-08-2012 Is that Dr. Lecter? RE: The Whatever - Riotgear - 08-08-2012 ^What I don't understand is how something can be so much more than the sum of it's parts but everyone involved still walks away a dumbass. Oh wait, the human race. RE: The Whatever - Jimbone - 08-08-2012 Really enjoyed Falling Down. It's worth a re-watch H. I enjoyed Memento too. Definitely pick up new things on re-watch. RE: The Whatever - Eat Shit And Die - 08-08-2012 Falling down - michael dougass only good film, epic 10⁄10 RE: The Whatever - Eat Shit And Die - 08-08-2012 (08-08-2012, 12:14 PM)HairOfTheDog Wrote:(08-08-2012, 11:51 AM)ESAD Wrote:(08-08-2012, 11:45 AM)HairOfTheDog Wrote:(08-08-2012, 10:26 AM)ESAD Wrote: "you ain't Leaving two things right now, Jack & shit & Jack left town" All right, you primitive screw-heads, listen up! That's right, this sweet baby was made in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Retails for about $109.95. It's got a walnut stock, cobalt-blue steel, and a hair trigger. That's right... shop smart: shop S-Mart...
