Maggot & Hot D have old souls. They are from a different era, a kinder, gentler era.

I'm going to read up on that Lincoln, Duchess. Thanks!

hah That's a good bet.

If you're looking for seat warmers, automatic windows and locks, air conditioning, heat, seat belts - all those petty accessories - then I'd go with Duchess's recommendation.

BUT, if you're serious about your ride, keep in my mind that my recommendation comes with 23 windows and 11 12 sets of these:

Have you looked at Cadillac SRX? I think Caddies are for old people but these are fucking loaded and beautiful. I would drive one.

If you have small kids, I would go with the BMW X5 M. Opt for the 3rd row seat. They handle like nothing you have ever driven. It would be more comparable to the MDX. But, the space is limited when you add the back seat. The kids might be cramped.

I never did like anything really comfortable in town traffic. On the highway I like a nice big car that floats on the pavement. I'm not big on all the extra things like power windows and lights that stay on after you shut them off. I think it makes people stupid if they feel like they are sitting in their living room driving around with remotes, television, and buzzers that tell you not to backup. Mirrors work great if a person uses them. Miss Cushy Tushy............hah

You have a point Maggot. I have to take my BMW to the dealership for an oil change. You can't even manually CHECK the oil. You have to check it from a button on the turn signal. It's all computerized. But it's a blast to drive.

I wasn't familiar with the BMW X5 so I looked it up. It is a really nice looking car.

You will think of me when you are going off the bridge into the water and the "power windows" short curcuit in the water. Or they get stuck down in a rainstorm. Or you get your head stuck in one trying to catch a frisbie and some smart assed kid pushes the up button.

Finally, my favorite TV show started again last night. Its so unusual for me to be able to talk about a television show where I don't say "I've never seen that" or "I've only seen that once".

Is it "The walking Dead"? I am hooked on that show.

I LOVE The Walking Dead. Totally hooked!!! Anytime someone brings it up I want to ask them a million questions on their thoughts of the show.

I was just told to have a happy day. Not a good day. Not a nice day. But a happy day.

I missed the entire first two seasons. When I saw the previews when it first premiered it didn't interest me so I never watched it. I'm not usually into blood and gore and sci-fi or stuff that I believe could never really happen, but this weekend they had a "Walking Dead fest on tv and I started watching. I couldn't stop. So now I've seen all of season 2 and, of course, last nights premier, but I have only seen a few of season 1. I have no idea how it all started. Did somebody break open a vile of poison/toxin or something? Did they all just meet on the highway? I cannot believe the special effects! Usually you don't see that much money spent on a tv show. I crack up and cheer when one of those zombie gets killed. What are some of your questions?

You can watch Season 1 on Netflix! I didn't start watching it when it started either but caught on at Season 2.

My questions are really per episode. Like I can't figure out what they were doing for 7-8 months...when Season 2 ended Laurie was pregnant but not showing, season 3 starts and she's "due any day". Also, how is Carol's hair not longer if it's been 9+ months in this zombie apocalypse?!?! So I guess my questions are more regarding the details :-) Perhaps we need a Walking Dead thread!

No one has said yet how/why the virus started, its up for speculation. Everyone is infected, the virus is airborne. That means even lauries baby has it. They skipped over the winter to start season 3. I guess they were just surviving, it was winter and from what i understood, there a herd of walkers closing in on them which is why they decided to stay at the prison. Theres no way out through them, not until they get more suplies. This is my favorite show by far. Its
loosely based on the comics, but even if you've read them, it wont ruin the show, as they vary the plot. I'm wondering about the baby. If its not alive, that means its a walker. And now that herschels bit? He's the doctor! Now what?
