So we are looking for a new dog. I'm looking at the humane society website an found two adorable puppies. Lab mixes. 2 months old. Already fixed. They are so cute I'd have to take both. Sigh. I have no will power when it comes to animals.

We have Jethro. This is to replace Scoobie. Not that he is replaceable but you know what I mean. Matt is taking Tripp when he moves out and Jethro needs a playmate.

I think people that buy purebred's are fucking stupid. 3⁄4 of them (I have no data to back this up; I'm just spewing what I think) come from people who get them from puppy mills. I had a friend who got a purebred Yorkie from a "nice lady who raises them herself with her darling mother". Immediate health problems and a deeper search on the dog's papers revealed it came from a puppy farm. Second time she's done that and she's all embarrassed and wants to keep it hush hush that SHE'S GETTING HER DOGS FROM PUPPY MILLS! Dumb ass.

I would never get a dog from a breeder. There are so many dogs and puppies in shelters that need homes. And I think mutts are better dogs.

Yeah. If I really wanted a particular breed, I'd go to a rescue site for that breed. There are rescue sites for chihuahuas, great danes...all kinds of dogs.

I'm not getting anymore dogs, they make too much of a fucking mess. My next pet is going to be a grumpy cat. I'm sure cats make a mess too, but I know they won't dig a hole to hell in my backyard and then track dirt all over the house.

I have a Grumpy cat. He's a Purebred Ragdoll. I won't defend my choice of getting him to anyone. There is an official grumpy cat all over the web.

No, not really. Ragdolls are low shedders, and hypo-allergenic.

I lightly brush him once or twice a month.
